I almost tried to 'like' this. :(. Ew.

 

To be fair I don't even hate it. I like to pretend I hate it then secretly go and watch it with brewing excitement, but it leaves me with no opinion. It's just like sitting through an oblivion of...nothing-ness. Ha.

Kristen gets hotter in each film :D

OMG you guys I finally watched this film. I thought New Moon had stamped the Twihard out of me but I may well have been WRONG. It was so much better than that film. Not as good as the first one but then let's not ask for MIRACLES here. Loved getting an insight into Jasper's and Rosalie's pasts. Rosalie is AMAZING. She needs a spin-off film of her own. I love her. Jasper is pretty terrible at acting the angsty stuff but I laughed out loud when he was being cheeky during the fight training bits. Also during that bit I liked Bella with wolf Jacob, that was cute and some good CGI going on.

 

I still think a big problem overall is that Bella has way more chemistry with Jacob than she does with Edward even though on the whole I'm team Cullen. He's basically the worst in the family though and Rob Pattinson is distractingly ugly throughout. Yeah Jacob looks like a PIG but a hot one. The make-up throughout was AWFUL. The vampires looked like the opposite of those chav girls you see with white arms and necks and orange faces. They all had super white faces and then just normal limbs. ODD. The make-up has definitely gotten worse with each film.

 

Also bits that were supposed to feel epic like the Volturi coming over the hill to meet the Cullens fell totally flat as did a lot of the action stuff which has been a problem throughout this franchise - it's so tame, the editing is rubbish, there's no proper sense of danger. When Riley was fighting off wolf Jacob it seemed ridiculously EASY to throw him off and similarly effortless to Edward to kill Victoria.

 

But they're niggles really. It was ENJOYABLE and a big step up from New Moon. Oh and Kristen Stewart really is TREMENDOUS. She owns the screen totally and completely outclasses Pattinson and Taylor Lautner as an actor (although the latter has got much better and is quite good at comedy stuff).
