Posted December 10, 200915 yr Sir Paul McCartney: marrying Heather Mills was 'mistake of the decade' By Ben Leach Daily Telegraph.co.uk Published: 8:13AM GMT 10 Dec 2009 Sir Paul McCartney has described his marriage to Heather Mills as one of the biggest mistakes of his life. Asked if it was his worst error in the last decade, he replied: “OK, yeah. I suppose that has to be the prime contender.” But the former Beatle, who has a six-year-old daughter, Beatrice, with former model Miss Mills, refused to criticise his ex-wife in an interview with Q magazine. He said: “I don’t want to down anyone. These things happen. I tend to look at the positive side, which is that I have another beautiful daughter out of it.” Although Sir Paul avoided mentioning Miss Mills, who walked away with a £24.3 million settlement after they divorced last year, he did reveal he is happy with Nancy Shevell, his new girlfriend, according to the Daily Mirror. He was asked to name “the best things about this century” and said: “Just being with my children. And having a new girlfriend. That is very nice, thank you.” Despite the acrimonious divorce, Sir Paul, 67, insisted he has had a good time for most of the past 10 years, saying: “I’ve managed to feel quite fulfilled this decade.” He also dismissed rumours he will retire soon. “I have too much fun,” he said. “Why would I retire? Sit at home and watch TV? No thanks. I’d rather be out playing.” Miss Mills’ divorce deal was made up of a lump sum of £16.5 million plus assets and property, worth around £7.8 million. Well I'm certainly not disagreeing, I just hope he does not make the second biggest mistake of the decade this weekend appearing on a show he has frequently (& correctly) criticised?

Seeing as it has been confirmed that MacCa is the Special musical guest, at least posting around Beatles themed sites has enabled someone to come up with an excuse for Paul turning into a huge two faced hypocrite ....... ......... I mean if alive a solo John Lennon would never have made a grovelling appearance on a TV Special in tribute to a British TV impressario 25th anniversary on televison who broke onto the international and USA stage responsible for ITV blockbusting rating shows ..... Live at the Palladium; The Golden Shot; and New Faces amongst many other TV shows would he that subsequently turned out to be his final live TV performance promoting his latest flop single, and his greatest solo hit ......... ......... oh hang on a minute ...... wT6tm5BSY1M John Lennon - A Salute to Sir Lew Grade April 18, 1975 :drama:
