Top 40 Albums of The 00s

 

My music taste has gone from dreadful, cheesy Pop to an outrageous Rock/Emo faze back to just anything that grabs my attention...

Now lyrically, I find 'The Open Door' to be far more profound, but musically 'Fallen' has a better selection. My love affair with Evanescence started in 2003 when I first heard their breakthrough single 'Bring Me To Life'. The gorgeous Amy Lee and the band in general continued to captivate me with the stunning 'My Immortal'. It's not just the singles or the eerie vocals that sell this record and make it so amazing. The tracks 'Tourniquet', 'Whisper', 'Imaginary' and 'Hello' each add their own layers to the human pscyhe. This was my deep, dark, depressive record back when I thought long, black hair and wrist slitting were the things I wanted in a boy :lol: *sigh*.
