December 12, 200915 yr Inna :cheer:  Wonder if the UK is next! Great debut for Gaga too (her best in Germany I think?) and  @ BEPs getting a number one there with MMH but not BBP or IGF!
December 12, 200915 yr another flop for Shakira... Heavy Cross NEEDS to vacate the top ten, why is it so vastly overrated in Germany - had it been top ten here for 21 weeks, I'd leave the country :drama: amazing for Aura Dione :D
December 12, 200915 yr yeah, I hate that Gossip song. Inna, shame it couldnt do better but it got 0 support. Ben, can you add the chart history for the entries that charted the past 2 weeks?
December 12, 200915 yr Inna debuts at 80, I wonder if it will be totally overplayed like it is now here in Czech Republic.
December 12, 200915 yr Author another flop for Shakira... Heavy Cross NEEDS to vacate the top ten, why is it so vastly overrated in Germany - had it been top ten here for 21 weeks, I'd leave the country :drama: amazing for Aura Dione :D I think Heavy Cross was used in a TV Programme in Germany. Don't know though where and how. yeah, I hate that Gossip song. Inna, shame it couldnt do better but it got 0 support. Ben, can you add the chart history for the entries that charted the past 2 weeks? Yeah will do in a mo. Some are already there, but I'm checking the others ;) Inna debuts at 80, I wonder if it will be totally overplayed like it is now here in Czech Republic. And in Hungary :heehee:
December 12, 200915 yr Cant believe Pink never charted with "Most Girls". Her and Nelly Furtado had pretty crappy chart positions with their debut album. Shakira flopped big time. She needs to release Men In This Town
December 12, 200915 yr Author Ben, can you add the chart history for the entries that charted the past 2 weeks? So I've added in the previous threads the chart histories. Here you can find them: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=2853914 http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=2854469
December 14, 200915 yr Yan's German chart comments - Issue Date 11.12.2009 It simply doesn't matter that the latest song of Black Eyed Peas is actually the third single taken from their latest album as "Meet Me Halfway" easily rises one place to take the crown in this week German singles charts. Thus it beats the #3 peak of previous singles "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling" and becomes the third number one single of BEP in Germany, next to "Where Is the Love?" and "Shut Up". This means that Ich + Ich have to withdraw to #4, while Danish star Aura Diona soars eight positions with "I Will Love You Monday" and takes the number two this week. Is the wonderful song going to be the next German number one? The highest new entry belongs to the star of 2009 - Lady GaGa and her latest hit "Bad Romance" which comes in at #3. So far, her greatest song, next to "Paparazzi", "Bad Romance" was always destined to be a huge hit as it is a new song from her reissued debut album and also had an awesome video. Is it strange that I don't like GaGa's first songs as much as her latest ones? "Bad Romance" has also the honour to be GaGa's fifth consecutive top ten single and also her third most successful apart from the number ones - "Poker Face" and "Paparazzi". From one big star to another at #6, where Timbaland returns with his latest effort "Morning After Dark". The song is great but it also benefits strongly from the guest appearance of Nelly Furtado, who is extremely popular in Germany. Counting only the singles in which Timbaland is credited as lead singer, only "Give It to Me" and "The Way I Are" have charted higher, at #3 and #5, respectively. And of course "Apologize", which hit number one in 2007. Following three top ten singles and one reaching #16, Pink's latest single "Don't Believe Me" comes in at #17. It is of course the fifth single taken from the "Funhouse" LP, so the entry in the top 20 is more than welcome. Now it's time for Pink to work on a new material... After a strong support from German VIVA TV, local band Stanfour succeeds in having another top 20 hit with the actually quite good "Wishing You Well". So far only "In Your Arms" peaked higher, reaching #14 some a year ago. Perhaps one of the biggest news of the week is the disappointing entry of the latest single of Daniel Schuhmacher at #22. As Daniel is the latest winner of the German version of Music Idol and his debut single reached #1 earlier this year, the entry of "Honestly" (actually a brand new song) outside the top 20 does not bode well for the future of the "superstar". So for now Daniel is not the new Mark Medlock... A disappointing new entry also for Shakira, who follows the top three hit "She Wolf", with "Did It Again", which even fails to reach the top 30. "Did It Again" is actually the better song, but still a far cry from Shakira's previous output... A total of nine years and 23 singles!!! have passed since the time when Scooter last missed the top 30 with "She's the Sun" in 2000. Now, unfortunately for them, the band's latest song "The Sound Above my Hair" enters at #38 and thus breaks the steady line-up of only top-30 hits. As it is somewhat a lazy redo of "Wonderful Life" of Black from 1987 (number two in Germany), it may be said that the song deserves to have a poor performance. But don't write them off, Scooter will be back in the top 20 in no time, I'm sure! This week sees also the rising of the Christmas songs, which once again are led by Wham's "Last Christmas" (#24) and Melanie Thornton's "Wonderful Dream" (#43). Further down the chart interesting new entries can be found by Sasha and Maria Mena, with the beautiful "Wide Awake" at #68 and by Romanian star Inna at #80. The latter is such a smash here in Bulgaria... Interestingly Snow Patrol and Death Cab for Cutie are absent this week even though VIVA plays them and last week I said I expected big jumps... The albums chart is once again dominated by Ich + Ich, with the only new entries in the top 50 being the live CDs (DVDs) of Peter Fox and Die Toten Hosen, which I'm sure are great!
