Posted December 11, 200915 yr EXCLUSIVE: Jamelia journeys to US for comeback album Friday, December 11 2009, 08:17 GMT By Nick Levine, Music Editor WENN Jamelia has revealed that she is planning a trip to Los Angeles to work on her new album. The Brit Award-winning star has been absent from the charts for nearly three years, but described progress on her upcoming fourth LP as "absolutely amazing". "I'm collaborating with some amazing producers. I've worked with a guy called Harmony who's part of the Darkchild camp - he's worked with everyone from Beyoncé to Lady GaGa in the past," she told DS. "I've also worked with a couple of producers out in Atlanta - a guy called Hard Work who's very up-and-coming, and another guy called AJ who's produced stuff for the new Usher album." Discussing the sound of the new album, the singer said: "It's still pop-R&B, but I'd say I've definitely gone back to my more R&B days. "This time I've set the bar really high for myself. Because I haven't released anything in a while, I feel that everything has to be really exciting and it really has to make an impact." She also claimed that fans should expect to hear her comeback single – her first since 'No More' in March 2007 – within a matter of months. "I'm looking to have the single out in March, or at least hitting radio with it around then," she added. However, before then Jamelia is appearing as a judge on TV dance contest Move Like Michael Jackson, which begins Monday at 8.30pm on BBC Three.
