December 15, 200915 yr Author 250. Miley Cyrus - Party In The U.S.A. 249. Coldplay - Violet Hill 248. Corinne Bailey Rae - Put Your Record On 247. Geri Halliwell - Calling/Au Nom De L'amour 246. Girls' Generation - Tell Me Your Wish (Genie) sJHrsD0-Y_U One of my favourite k-pop groups i discovered this year. These bitches give PCD and Girls Aloud a run for their money. Their dance moves are so precise and their songs are so catchy. And they all get solos, all 9 of them. This is Girls' Generation's only entry in my best of the decade chart but with a song as catchy as "Genie" they don't need any more. 245. Brooke Hogan - Ruff Me Up 244. Britney Spears - Gimme More 243. Feist - 1234 q2kvc74OWdQ I'm sure everyone has seen this video by now, but I just had to post it! Such a good song and a great video to go along with it. This is Feist's only entry although the fabulous "My Moon, My Man" narrowly missed my top 250. 242. No Angels - Disappear 241. Girls Aloud - Life Got Cold Edited December 15, 200915 yr by shakilover
December 15, 200915 yr Author 240. Alanis Morissette - Eight Easy Steps -LZVbPb8zsI One of my fave Alanis songs. One of the few shining moments from her this decade. I love the self help themes throughout the song. The video is also really good and soo creative as she goes back to past footage and videos and through special effects makes it seem like she was singing this song in all of them. 2 more Alanis singles remain in this countdown. 239. Emma Bunton - Maybe 238. Alphabeat - The Spell 237. Jennifer Lopez - I'm Real 236. Gloria Trevi - Psicofonia 235. Jennifer Lopez - Love Don't Cost A Thing 234. Eva Simons - Silly Boy 233. Fantasia - When I See You 232. Sugababes - Run For Cover pR3gw1uR4GE Best song from their first album. Keisha and Mutya completely own this song. Even back then their vocals and harmonies were excellent. This makes it that much more sad what a complete joke a group that was about the music, the voices and the attitude has become. It's interesting that at such a young age they released a song more mature lyrically than anything they've released in years. Expect a lot more Sugababes on this chart! 231. Jessica Mauboy - Burn Edited December 15, 200915 yr by shakilover
December 15, 200915 yr 250. Miley Cyrus - Party In The U.S.A. = This is good, but not her best! 249. Coldplay - Violet Hill - Good song too, much better than Viva La vida 248. Corinne Bailey Rae - Put Your Record On = :o She is still alive? Love this song. 244. Britney Spears - Gimme More  243. Feist - 1234 242. No Angels - Disappear  I dont know why this flopped on Eurovision. :( 240. Alanis Morissette - Eight Easy Steps Great song! 238. Alphabeat - The Spell Good song! 237. Jennifer Lopez - I'm Real 235. Jennifer Lopez - Love Don't Cost A Thing 234. Eva Simons - Silly Boy 232. Sugababes - Run For Cover I love this one so much, Â Great songs so far!
December 17, 200915 yr Author 230. Utada - Dirty Desire 229. Emma Bunton - All I Need To Know 228. Heidi Montag - Body Language 227. Girls Aloud - No Good Advice 226. Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway 225. Natasha Bedingfield - Pocketful of Sunshine 224. Gloria Estefan - Wrapped sfxVce3ZYSc Unwrapped is probably my favorite Gloria album. I definitely had to include its lead single. The Andean instruments really add to the song and Gloria's voice sounds fabulous. The video shows the beautiful scenery in Peru. What more could you want out of a single. 223. Son Of A Gun (I Betcha Think This Song Is About You) - Janet Jackson b3fpbsr6kUo Probably my favorite Janet video. It's creepy and fierce, and Janet's abs are amazing! I love the Carly Simon sample. I prefer the album version which features Carly a lot more. The "All For You" ere is one of my fave Janet eras and this song and video are two of the reasons why. 222. Girls Aloud - Whole Lotta History 221. KT Tunstall - Hold On
December 17, 200915 yr Author 220. Sugababes - Girls 219. Melanie C - Carolyna 218. Victoria Beckham - Let Your Head Go nGl0pKm0S90 I feel that Victoria could have been the next Kylie is she really wanted to. She has the attitude, style and a great tone. But it seems like she did solo music because she felt she had to more than her actual desire to do so. Even though it seems rather forced she still came out with an amazing single in "Let Your Head Go". People do not really understand her sense of humor but it's is evident in the video in which she pokes fun of herself and the media's perception of her. The bit in the middle reminds me of Lady Gaga's Paparazzi video only 6 years earlier and with a protagonist that's actually pretty unlike fugly gaga (more on her later in the chart). I think the song and video do an amazing job of showing us what could have been if Victoria wanted a career in music. 217. Thalia - Cerca De Ti 216. Tata Young - My Bloody Valentine 215. Sam Sparro - Black and Gold 214. Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me 213. Adele - Chasing Pavements 08DjMT-qR9g I don't care for Adele. She's got a bit too much swagga for my tastes. But even I can't deny how amazing "Chasing Pavements" is. Her voice is so beautiful and haunting. The video is just as beautiful. Both the song and video leave you with this question about love that you must decide for yourself. <3 212. Alesha Dixon - Breathe Slow 211. Beyonce - Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) Edited December 24, 200915 yr by shakilover
December 18, 200915 yr 227. Girls Aloud - No Good Advice 226. Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway 225. Natasha Bedingfield - Pocketful of Sunshine 222. Girls Aloud - Whole Lotta History 221. KT Tunstall - Hold On 220. Sugababes - Girls 218. Victoria Beckham - Let Your Head Go  215. Sam Sparro - Black and Gold 214. Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me 213. Adele - Chasing Pavements 212. Alesha Dixon - Breathe Slow Very good update!
December 24, 200915 yr Author 210. Britney Spears - Piece Of Me 209. Brandy - Right Here (Departed) vzwoJ10UyO0 Brandy's latest effort may have not been the most successful but her album "Human"'s lead single shows her at her best. "Right Here" is such a powerful inspirational song. The video for it is stunning. Brandy's incredible voice shines in this song. Brandy has been hit and miss with me but this song is one of my absolute favorite of hers. 208. Jamelia - Beware of the Dog 207. Wonder Girls - Tell Me 206. Geri Halliwell - It's Raining Men t0uf5l_OBLU Geri Halliwell is one of the worst singers in pop music. She can't dance. And she's not extraordinarily pretty. However there is something she has has more than made up for her lack of talents: her drive and charisma. "It's Raining Men" shows her at her best. Loud, in your face, and unapologetic. The song suits her limited voice well and it is perfect for a spectacle, showstopping performance like the one during her solo bit in the Return of the Spice Girls Tour. 205. India.Arie - Therapy 204. Britney Spears - Circus 203. Carrie Underwood - So Small 202. Brown Eyed Girls - Sign 201. Duffy - Mercy
December 24, 200915 yr Author 200. Madonna - Don't Tell Me 8MF55QS1nVY Before Madonna got all desperate and pathetic she actually made really good music. This song is soo good because as modern as it feels you also get an old country vibe from it lol. The video gave Madonna another of her many iconic moments. Miss the days when Madonna was good. 199. Miley Cyrus - See You Again WodrUrLldhc Miley really is such a guilty pleasure. This song is just so damn catchy! She may be a talentless, teen $l*t with an annoying speaking voice. But as long as she keeps pumping out catchy songs, that's all that matters.  198. t.A.T.u - Not Gonna Get Us 0HL-N9oOjcs After the whole lesbian gimmick wore out one had to note that there was still good music at the center of it all. "Not Gonna Get Us" acts as a sequel to their incredible debut. I really like the lyrics in the verses. "Night will come down, our gardian angel" genuis! Expect a lot more t.A.T.u on this list. 197. Jennifer Hudson - And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going VzXVj7klclk Beyonce was probably intended to be the star and center of Dreamgirls. But something happened. In the close to 5 minutes that Jennifer Hudson belted this song out, she completely became the center of the film. Her vocals are amazing and more than do justice to Jennifer Holiday's original performance. But Hudson's incredible vocals are only part of the reason that she completely dominated the stage. She was able to sing a song in which she's basically begging a man to stay with her, but she manages to do this while staying elegant, refined, and dignified.  196. Nelly Furtado - All Good Things (Come To An End) RAUas08lGuE I became a huge fan of Nelly Furtado because of her first two albums. While i really like most of the singles from "Loose" I couldnt help but feel disappointed with the rest of the album. I remember on my first listen as I was finishing up the album not very impressed then I got to this song. Lyrically it is amazing. Te bridge ranks amongst her best lyrical moments. I really hope her next album sees her returning more to this type of music.  Edited December 26, 200915 yr by shakilover
December 25, 200915 yr 210. Britney Spears - Piece Of Me 209. Brandy - Right Here (Departed) 208. Jamelia - Beware of the Dog 206. Geri Halliwell - It's Raining Men 205. India.Arie - Therapy 204. Britney Spears - Circus 201. Duffy - Mercy 200. Madonna - Don't Tell Me 199. Miley Cyrus - See You Again 198. t.A.T.u - Not Gonna Get Us 197. Jennifer Hudson - And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going 196. Nelly Furtado - All Good Things (Come To An End)Â  Great couple of songs there!
December 26, 200915 yr Author 195. Gloria Trevi - En Medio De La Tempestad 9EYjVCKyNq0 This was Trevi's big comback after being released from prison for the whole kidnapping drama and the really mysterious and quite eery disappearance of her newborn baby. All drama aside, Gloria came back with a really strong single about survival and death. Vocally she really delivers. I didn't know she could sing this well. A lot more Gloria to come on this chart! 194. t.A.T.u - White Robe lzY9UF4XAz4 Probably one of their most haunting videos, White Robe/Beliy Plaschik uses the execution plot as a symbol for abortion. The song goes deeper than most pop music does. t.A.T.u is one of the most intriguing acts of the decade. This is one of the songs where I feel like I "get it" but there are many others where I know they go much deeper than i can grasp. 193. Alanis Morissette - Not As We uk7CuWGY43g This is hands down the stand out song from Alanis' latest album. She describes the pain, despair and eventual rebirth after the end of a relationship. The video is beautiful and so empowering because we see Alanis helping herself through the pain. It's just such a gorgeous ballad. 192. Girls Aloud - Can't Speak French The choice for third single from their Tangled Up album was probably really difficult as there were so many amazing contenders. Personally I would have gone with Girl Overboard or Close To Love. They however went with Can't Speak French. While not my first choice it is still an amazing song. The video really adds to it as well! 191. Aly and AJ - Potential Breakup Song GN_58vHQKh4 Pure catchy fun pop!! Not much more to say!
December 26, 200915 yr Author 190. Duffy - Warwick Avenue My favorite Duffy song. So simple and yet so powerful. The emotion in her voice is so poignant. 189. KT Tunstall - Suddenly I See Lovely feel good song about being inspired by an image. I think everyone can relate to suddenly being inspired by something and how it makes everything clear.  188. Amy Winehouse - Back To Black Only two Winehouse made my countdown. Back To Black is pure soul. The video is my favorite of hers.  187. No Angels - One Life This song was quite a surprise from this year. I wasn't expecting No Angels' new single to be this catchy and fun. The video is also really cool. Such a shame their album flopped. 186. Danity Kane - Damaged S20NsEyzUeQ I really think Danity Kane could have been the US's answer to Girls Aloud. Too bad diddy f***ed them up. Damaged remains a really great pop song. I'm glad shannon got to shine on this single after being given no solos on their previous singles. Damages shows us how great DK could have become if given a chance. Edited December 28, 200915 yr by shakilover
December 26, 200915 yr 249. Coldplay - Violet Hill :) 244. Britney Spears - Gimme More 243. Feist - 1234 241. Girls Aloud - Life Got Cold 240. Alanis Morissette - Eight Easy Steps (Love all of her music) 238. Alphabeat - The Spell 237. Jennifer Lopez - I'm Real 235. Jennifer Lopez - Love Don't Cost A Thing 227. Girls Aloud - No Good Advice 226. Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway (People tend to forget how good this song is!) 225. Natasha Bedingfield - Pocketful of Sunshine 223. Son Of A Gun (I Betcha Think This Song Is About You) - Janet Jackson (Like this alot, usually I'm bothered by sampling) 222. Girls Aloud - Whole Lotta History 221. KT Tunstall - Hold On (Didn't like this at first, but it has grown on me) 220. Sugababes - Girls 219. Melanie C - Carolyna 215. Sam Sparro - Black and Gold :) 214. Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me 213. Adele - Chasing Pavements 210. Britney Spears - Piece Of Me 206. Geri Halliwell - It's Raining Me 201. Duffy - Mercy 200. Madonna - Don't Tell Me (Personally, I think this and Die Another Day are her best this decade) 199. Miley Cyrus - See You Again (The only Miley song I like, if only she had of continued down this path!) 196. Nelly Furtado - All Good Things (Come To An And)
December 27, 200915 yr Author 185. Miley Cyrus - The Climb NG2zyeVRcbs Yeah I know its miley. This bitch is such a guilty pleasure. The Climb really is a good song though. It's got great lyrics and its moving. 184. Wonder Girls - So Hot lmun5PO54VE These bitches are f***ing fierce! It really doesn't matter that I don't know what they're saying. The song is super catchy and the girls look awesome in the video. Yubin, the rapper, looks especially fierce in this video and her rap is so awesome. Wonder Girls are definitely my favorite k-pop group of the year. 183. Girls Aloud - Wake Me Up lK7oOVp7BJE Get used to it there is a lot of Girls Aloud on this chart. The fantastic Wake Me Up could not have been counted out of the chart. Despite being one of their more underrated songs, I feel Wake Me Up stands out as a single from What Will The Neighbours Say because its a bit more edgy and rocky than the rest of the singles. Nicola and Kimberley's parts absolutely make this song for me! 182. Jewel - Standing Still W3WMMwlHgZI# Lovely song. I love Jewel's voice in this.  181. Britney Spears - Oops!... I Did It Again CduA0TULnow It seems that almost each of Brit's singles give her another iconic moment. This must certainly rank among the top. That red catsuit and the "I'm not that innocent" line certainly defined the era. Edited December 28, 200915 yr by shakilover
December 28, 200915 yr Author 180. Ashley Tisdale - It's All Right, It's OK On_ZPiDEqkA This song is such an anthem. It's clearly inspired by "Since You've Been Gone" but that's not a bad thing. Ashley proves she's got the voice and attitude for a song like this. 179. Beyonce and Shakira - Beautiful Liar One song, two huge stars. This was a huge collaboration and both Beyonce and Shakira shine in it as wronged women. Their voices really do compliment each other. I hope they get a chance to work with each other again. and the dance sequences in the video are amazing. 178. Heidi Montag - Higher RSRigInpvYM The second coming of Christ makes her second appearance on my chart with the magnificent Higher. It has everything a great pop song needs: random electrical sounds at the beginning and end, a bridge made of squeals trying to outsing herself, and a beautiful tasteful video! Heidi Montag shall lead us into heaven! 177. The Pussycat Dolls - I Hate This Part ZGb0TepJltQ Despite my hatred of Nicole Flopzinger I've got to admit she gives a great vocal performance in this song.  176. SOS - Rihanna IXmF4GbA86E This was the first rihanna song I liked. It gets really repetitive after a while but it's oh so catchy! Edited December 28, 200915 yr by shakilover
