I'm really starting to get bored of JLS now, their songs are uninspiring, average singers and to be honest they ain't even that good looking.

Same with Leona, Alexandra and everyone else. You're not going to get anyone as interesting as Will Young or Girls Aloud from X Factor. Too much money to be lost if you try something different.

JLS top 10 again :rolleyes: now that's what I call a TOTP effect.

I actually don't mind Leona as she is not that over exposed her promo is relatively quiet and it makes seeing her on tv a good thing.

 

However JLS, have just yet again performed on another $h!tty show on itv performing EIL, it is literally the 50th performance I have seen of that crap song and the performance never changes.

 

Alexandra is everwhere at the moment too and that can't be denied but I actually thought bad boys was a good song with good choreography. She has performed different songs on Viva, Paul o Grady twice, Royal variety and ant and dec tonight.

Perhaps people are getting their New Year parties playlist?

 

Those who use the vouchers shouldn't have their songs counted towards the charts.

I like that we see a difference when there are loads of vouchers activated, stirs up the chart a bit.

Im a JLS fan but yeh I agree that their performances are a bit crap.. I hate the dance moves

They need less cheesy songs which is one of the reasons why I love One shot so much.. will do no way near as good as BA & EIL though

Just because a lot of people like something doesnt make it 'oh they have been brainwashed in to liking it', by whom exactly?

I think people, like you, have been brainwashed in to believing people are brainwashed by X Factor.

Following the crowd orrrr? People need to start thinking independently.

What it demonstrates is that their album is clearly filled with crap songs. I have listened to the album myself and the two singles on them are the only halfway decent songs on it. You would think with their album sales so high they would be attempting to promote other songs on it, who needs to hear EIL when it was released two months ago.

This is the problem I have as well Berty. It seems when a third/fourth etc single is released, it is ignored for the most recent hit! Little Boots suffered it with "Earthquake" chosen for "Remedy" on that Children in Need Concert.

Maybe because their next single One shot is not out until late Feb ? They havent got a video or anything out yet and so are probably waiting to start promoting it properly.. And I have listened to the album quite a bit.. at first wasnt too keen on it and now love it.. its a real grower and there are much better songs on there than EIL & BA which are some of the weakest songs imo.. They are apparently working with Ne-yo, Red One, Calvin Harris etc.. on the second album so Im expected a much better album

It seems X-Factor is ALLOWED the attention, and everyone else is just "trash" in SYCO's eyes.

People really underestimate JLS on here.. No one expected them to be selling this much with the album, get a number 1 against Robbie etc..

I was watching Ant and Decs show and the one on after it tonight and both of them had heavy portions of their show dedicated to the X factor. It really annoys me I don't watch these shows to have Alexandra Burke and JLS rammed in my face at every opportunity and Amanda and Piers creaming over how amazing Simon Cowell is. If only ITV was paid for by the license fee payers then we wouldn't have to put up with this crap, heck Alesha Dickson was not even allowed to perform her single on SCD if only this rule was applied for every ITV show.

I must admit, JLS are a decent group and they have a few good songs imo.. I just hate the way everyone likes them because of their looks instead of the music.

To be honest no one is coming in here and just stating 'JLS are crap' they are giving reasons and stating their opinion of their awful constant promotion of the same song. There is a thread for only chart updates so if you don't want to read any opinions or debate go there.

 

No one underestimated them it was obvious they would sell alot, as for longevity as good as Robbies, PLEASE.
