More details are emerging about the remix album courtesy of Mariah Daily.

 

-It's released in the US on Feb 23rd, giving the singles seven weeks to build at radio.

-Collaborators include Fabolous, T-Pain, Snoop Dogg and Mary J Blige (!).

-The title and final tracklist will be announced next week and they'll be promoting it like an all-new album.

I was hoping we would get some nice dance remixes of obsessed, hate u and I want to know what love is, but this looks like urban mixes. :(

There's a seperate remix album done by Jump Smokers with dance remixes of 12 Memoirs tracks.

I don't think the remix will save this era, but who knows. I'm pumped for "Up Out My Face" now Nicki Minaj is confirmed to feature. Perfect song for Nicki to be apart of, you just know that's going to be hot.

I hope they have opted for dance remixes...I managed to hear the jump smokers remix of h.a.t.e.u which is really good.

I don't think anyone will buy this apart from huge fans. I'm interested in hearing the remixes of these tracks, but I don't think it will do that well in the charts. ^_^

Release date is now March 30.

The videos for "Up Out My Face" and "Angels Cry" have been premiered. "UOMF" is so fun, her best since "Touch My Body". Seriously, I think it's a video that will be remembered and instantly recognisable. "AC", on the other hand, is pretty standard. The inclusion of her perfume made me cringe. Not loving it at all.

 

 

Agreed on all counts AAC. Angels Cry is very much standard fare but it's at least filmed well. Up Out My Face is really fun - moreso than Obsessed which featured too much being sexy.

Both songs are below average... not good.

The remix of 'Angels Cry' is much better than 'Up Out My Face'. The video for 'Up Out My Face' seems more like a fun video, but the 'Angels Cry' is very well filmed. Both are great videos though! :D

UOMF video is brill, and I love AC song. doubt they will do well though

I kinda wish she just had half of these 'remix' (duets) on the album to begin with instead of being stubborn with the no collaborations thing. I'm glad we're getting both, but I'm sure we would have had a more successful era if we had a mix between the two. Both of these are great.

 

I didn't think much of the original "Angels Cry", but with Ne-Yo added it sounds amazing. I think it could have been a hit in this form. "Up Out My Face" doesn't work quite as well. With "Angels Cry" you almost can't tell Mariah didn't re-record it, Ne-Yo slots in rather well and they sound like they're actually singing together. Nicki's addition to "Up Out My Face" sounds much more like a cut and paste job with her talking over random bits.

 

That said, I do love "Up Out My Face". I'd never heard of this Nicki Minaj, but I think I might just love her, her accent and delivery. :wub:

I have to say, I sort of expected her to re-record some bits instead of just releasing the album again with added vocalists. I do think the songs work, but she should have just had guests on the album in the first place.

UOMF is already rising quite fast on Urban radio, I hope she can get a spot on American Idol or something to properly promote this new album.
