I’ve also worked with a couple of producers out in Atlanta – a guy called Hard Work who’s very up-and-coming, and another guy called AJ who’s produced stuff for the new Usher album."

 

"It’s still pop-R&B, but I’d say I’ve definitely gone back to my more R&B days. This time I’ve set the bar really high for myself. Because I haven’t released anything in a while, I feel that everything has to be really exciting and it really has to make an impact."

She's really got her work cut out, hopefully it's good and hopefully it'll do alright for her.

Hopefully its catchy and does well on radio if so that will give it a great chance of success, i agree she has her work cut out but she done it before so lets hop eshe can do it again.

I saw Jamelia in Birmingham town centre last week, I could not believe my eyes! She is literally my idol and she got off the same train as me and was walking infront of me. I actually recognised her from behind, LOL! Love her :D

Did u go up to her and ask for an autograph?

No I didn't, didn't want to embarrass her, I seemed to have been the only person to recognise her. She was really nice tho, should have asked her when she was gonna release something new!

I really liked "beware of the dog". Classic song and very under-rated.

and yet March is almost over...

The single/album was never going to be released in March. She wanted everything completed by then, but a lot of people don't know she's doing this all herself - she's the one who's chasing producers personally (making friends with top producers, flying out to meet them & record, etc) aswell as having two kiddies to raise and all that trouble with Darren. If she was signed, it'd have been easier. But she wanted to have full creative control - something she didn't have on her last record.

 

And she worked with the producer that did some tracks on Usher's new record aswell as others who have worked with Beyoncé & Lady Gaga. I'm excited and confident.

 

Jamelia taking this long has worked out well.

Hopefully the wait will pay off, im nervous for her for the new stuff.

She just signed her record deal on U-stream today. She was so excited.

 

This means that everything is ready, as she wanted the album complete before she signed anything. New single will be within two - three months I think.
