I guess it's still early days but that trailer doesn't give us much to go on does it? Be nice if they hadn't used the Carrie/carry pun twice!

 

I am looking forward to this to an extent because I did enjoy the first film even if it was flawed. I know a lot of people who'd liked the TV series didn't think much of it (and vice versa) but it was reasonably good and wrapped up the storylines nicely. It'll be interesting to see where they go with this one because Carrie simply can't split up with Big again, Miranda and Steve ditto, Samantha can't go back to being a big whore etc. Apparently

I'm not sure it would be Samantha because she already got cancer and it'd seem a bit much to throw more shit (DEATH in this case) at her! I'd rather it were Charlotte personally.

So, just like the first film then..... :P

 

This used to be such a good series when it started out, really fresh and original... The first two seasons of SaTC are absolutely peerless, but, like with "Friends" and "Will and Grace", it got too full of its own cr@p and went rapidly downhill.... The first film was an utter bore and could've been trimmed judiciously by about an hour.... 30-odd minutes of plot boringly stretched out to 146 minutes of my life which I'll never get back...... Glad to see this sequel is getting the mauling it deserves.....

I'm going to see this tonight and I'm really not looking forward to it. I've only ever seen a few episodes of the show, which I liked reasonably enough, and I even enjoyed the first movie as it seemed to wrap everything up nicely. But there doesn't seem to be anything worth seeing in the sequel and the fact it has the same sort of running length as the first has got me dreading it. There is absolutely no need for these sort of movies to be 2 and a half hours long!

My expectations were low but I went to see it because I couldn't not, as such a fan of the show.

 

Really though, this is SUCH a major improvement on the first film which I admit was rather pointless. This had all the elements of why I loved the show so much and all the characters were back on form, particularly Samantha who had about one exciting scene in the first film.

This was the most horrifying thing I've ever seen.

 

It was seriously dire, I actually liked the first movie but nothing really happened in this movie. It seemed kind of pointless if you asked me, and the gay wedding was horrifically done if you ask me. Had some funny moments, sure, but it definetly couldn't save this trainwreck.
