we found it funny, pretty much classic quips/jokes throughout... but it lacked something. think it is becoming a parody of itself and some of the jokes (computer in a bag) was just very lame. tbh i think the jokes been told now, and like laurel and hardy did in the latter stages of their career, re-visited past jokes with little effect. it was almost like these actors were playing actors who were playing the characters.

I (we) laughed out loud at bits but at the same time were disappointed with it in large parts.

Agreed. Great in places, but patchy in many others.

 

It was a classic sitcom but it has passed its peak and now seems tired.

 

They really should have killed it off with Nan dying.

So much better than last years :wub: loved it
It was enjoyable, im a big fan of the royle family but this certyainly wasnt up there with the best of it but it was funny in parts and overall enjoyable, but i much prefered last years christmas special.
