December 27, 200915 yr Author wow at Keri :o and Knock You Down could only get to #30 there!?! I think I Like is a soundtrack to a new German movie, and that's why it's so high. Plus she was performing on German Popstars. BTW the winner song of Popstars 2009 is at number 16
December 28, 200915 yr Yan's German chart comments - Issue date 25.12 Towards the close of the year we have another new number one in Germany. This time the honour goes to Keri Hilson, who so far has not been a big star in Germany, with "Return The Favor" being her most successful single in Germany as a lead singer. However, the inclusion of "I Like" in the soundtrack of German hit movie "Zweiohrküken", written and directed by Til Schweiger, has fuelled the sales of the song. The soundtrack has already produced a big hit in the face of OneRepublic's "Secrets". "I Like" is to feature in the re-released edition of Keri's solo album "In a Perfect World....". Some words are due to Ella Endlich, whose "Küss mich, halt mich, lieb mich" (kiss me, hold me, love me) jumps 15 places to reach #15 this week and to enter the top 20 for the first time since its release. Though as a name she is new to the chart, she has been here in the late 90s as Junia and her single hit "It's Funny" (reaching #17). You can see the video here As it is customary at this time of the year, the latest winners of the casting show Popstars storm the charts. The show has given us so far No Angels, Bro'sis, Monrose and Queensberry (the more successful ones) and Nu Pagadi, Overground and Room 2012 (the long-forgotten ones). This time around the idea of the show was to market a new duet coming in the face of Some and Any. They enter the singles chart at #16, a position at which it is hardly to be judged whether they will have a good career or not. More probably not... Further down the chart, it is good to see chart veterans Pet Shop Boys (at #35) and George Michael (at #37) once again being in the top 50. PSB have a hit earlier this year with "Love etc.", while Michael has been absent from the German charts in the last three years. He was last in the top ten with "Freeek!" seven years ago. This week's albums chart is once again dominated by Ich + Ich, with Alicia Keys' "The Element Of Freedom" being the only new entry in the top 50 at #15. And see ya in 2010! :cheer:
