It will take about 5 days to learn the language too :kink: strange things happens in this world :P and as much as I want Safura to win, I wish Feminnem edges her out...45 minute flight + I speak their language + I have friends in Zagreb + ESC experience + Meet with Pavel :P = HEAVEN.
March 25, 201015 yr latest top ten odds from William Hill Azerbaijan - 2/1 Israel - 9/2 Germany - 8/1 Denmark - 8/1 Norway - 12/1 Croatia - 12/1 Armenia - 16/1 Sweden - 16/1 Greece - 22/1 Ireland - 25/1 Obviously news of the draw will have pushed Germany massively up - 3rd would be something of a huge shock though - as much as I absolutely ADORE it, I'm still seeing mid-table for Lena...
March 31, 201015 yr Author Germany doing inreasingly well in the odds, they're now hovering around the 4/1 mark, with Azerbaijan still around 3/1! Here's PaddyPower's top few anyway... Azerbaijan 3/1 Germany 9/2 Israel 11/2 Norway 9/1 Croatia 10/1 Armenia 10/1 Denmark 12/1 I'm beginning to think Azerbaijan aren't going to win...yes it's a good song but it's not as instant or as powerful as the Croatian song, and the ESC version that will be used isn't as good as the 3:39 version... Germany or Israel won't finish that high either - wouldn't be surprised at top ten for both, but can't see them troubling the top three. Going to do my revised predictions in a couple of days!

March 31, 201015 yr It's wide open really isn't it. I agree with David, these songs in the top 3 odds are not songs that strike me as winners/top 3's, apart from Drip Drop but it feels more like a 3rd/4th place type song. I disagree that Croatia's song is stronger though, I found Drip Drop much more instant than Lako Je Sve personally.
March 31, 201015 yr I'm seeing a dogfight between Safura and Feminnem. Feminnem will probably lose out if they perform in Croatian...
March 31, 201015 yr Author Oooh, where's the 3:39 version? :o That's the one I have...presumed everyone else's longer ones were the same? I'll find the link and PM you anyway. Edit... Oh are you talking about the Croatian song? I meant Drip Drop...worded it a bit confusingly. I'll send you the link anyway. It's wide open really isn't it. Ooh no I think Lako Je Sve is far stronger! :o It's very like Molitva in the way it builds and builds throughout the song. Obviously dead certs for qualification, but with a good draw I think they'll easily win myself.

I guess Lako Je Sve is more jury friendly, but televote wise I can see the Western countries going much more for Drip Drop than Lako Je Sve. Having said that, both sound very 'Timbaland produced ballad' so I'm not sure. I reckon Satellite will be the Invincible/Hold On Be Strong typed 5th place song that picks up 6's and 7's from everyone and quietly does very well without troubling the top 3 of many countries. Israel I see low top ten and Denmark 9th-13th really, I'm surprised it's still doing so well in the odds.
March 31, 201015 yr Lako Je Sve will not be that good if translated into english tbh. Anyway Feminnem > Safura.

Second in the odds is far too high imo, and I personally see it just missing out on a top five placing. Would be nice if it did do well though, and I daren't even think of when the last time Germany made the top five! Must be mid-1990s? Edit... Just remembered that horrendous Jerusalem song in 1999... -_-

Poor Corinna May was tipped to win in 2002 and came twenty places lower than predicted  :drama: the sympathy vote obviously doesn't apply in Eurovision. The only reason I tell myself Satellite won't do well is because it's from Germany - if Armenia were sending it I'd have it down as a guaranteed winner. Still, last year told me that once again this is becoming a 'song' contest not a country contest so I'm remaining hopeful that it will be their first top five in ten years, god knows they deserve it this time. It's having 'Fight For This Love' type success over in Germany, 150k sold in the first week - although ironically it did actually know 'Fight For This Love' out of the top five there :heehee:

March 31, 201015 yr That Stefan Raab song was ridiculous. Never fail to errr surprise us though do they Germany... Quite a coincidence if Lena goes top five, given Stefan wrote Satellite!
March 31, 201015 yr That Stefan Raab song was ridiculous. Never fail to errr surprise us though do they Germany... Germany are just another UK really, flopping year after year with songs/genres that no other country would be foolish enough to send, yet having the occasional hit when they send something a bit more classy i.e. Max/Michelle on a lesser scale to Jessica/Jade. I'm still gutted No No Never only came 15th though :( At least they do something completely different every year rather than wheeling out the same old thing time and time again a la Greece (as much I love a lot of their entries).

Ok, a more likely winner :P Apricot Stone is what? 5th favourite...it's really not that special is it compared to their past few entries? I wonder if it would still be 5th favourite if Macedonia were sending it? I still think the bookies are using past form as well as song quality to judge some of the entries this year. Russia should really be at 500/1 but they're nowhere near - mid table in a lot of odds in fact.
