Aftenposten (a Norwegian newspaper) has published an interview with the one, the only...SVANTE STOCKSELIUS.

 

In the interview he stated that the hosts for 2010 must be able to speak both English & French (unlike the Moscow hosts), and at least one must have had previous TV experience. They can't be too old, they need to feel modern.

 

He mentioned how support of the contest had been low in the UK, so they invited ALW. He said it was a success, coming 5th and getting better ratings. He thinks that eventually, a lot of countries will do a Norway/Sweden and do a national selection with about 5/6 rounds.

 

Svante said his best Eurovision memory is the victory of ABBA...

Can you imagine how long it'd take someone to get the stage ready for a performance by Lady GaGa?! It was bad enough for Svetlana Loboda last year, and that'd blatantly be tame in comparison!

Well I don't know if any of the Moscow hosts actually couldn't speak French, but the woman hosting the semi-final's (and maybe even Alsou) had to keep looking at there cards, and got in a bit of a muddle.

 

How much d'you reckon it would cost to get Lady GaGa to represent a country at Eurovision? Would she want more to do ESC, or Celebrity Big Brother? :P

Why? Norway could do it too. A Norwegian would have to co-write the song, and you would have to pay her, that's all. Isn't RedOne part Swedish actually? :o

I expect the BBC would be able to offer GaGa the most money, but knowing GaGa, she might want to be a bit different and pick a random country like...Lithuania :P

 

But she has writing credits on all her songs, I think (or at least a lot of them), so maybe she could just write an entry like ALW did. Then do what Dita did for Germany, and make an appearance on stage near the end, wearing the latest outfit.

I've remembered that GaGa likes Sweden a lot (isn't she speaking Swedish in the "Paparazzi" music video), so she could represent Sweden.
