Great news. I just wonder how long it will take until it begins to get radio airplay. I'll harzard a guess at either XFM or Radio 1 of getting the first airplay of it.

Well, you're lucky then, cos in America, at least where I live, the Monkeys rarely, if ever, get any air play. I've heard IBYLGOTDF on the local alternative station only like three, four times, and none recently.

Well I never got sick of the first three no matter how much they got played (even after playing the demo versions to death months before that :lol: ) but speaking of them in America I must admit I'm suprised they've taken off so well over there as I didn't think you lot would understand them really. :o

Yeah, I kinda am as well. I mean, loads of people over here love them, not just the nerdy Anglophiles (*cough*me*cough*). But really, it's not that hard to figure out what they're saying, you can just look it up online! :P Or you could just have a scary amount of knowledge of British slang for an American... :D

BTW Zane Lowe on Radio 1 will have the "exclusive" first radio airplay of the song on Monday night (I think).

I dunno how they'll do it, but I guess they'll but this on the second album, or they might re-issue the album with LBTLCO on or they might just make it a stand alone song. Their second album is supposivley coming out January 2007, but I don't hold too much hope for that at the moment -_- .

I'm not sure what'll happen afterwards as there isn't really enough time to release another single inbetween that and January plus they'd have released three singles when the album comes out :blink:

I think they might re-issue WPSITWIN with this track on but maybe put it as a bonus on the next album too.

Well I don't like it when bands re-release albums but I suppose it could be good considering how quickly it fell due to lack of there being another proper single :unsure:

I hate it when bands re-release albums unless they have a few new tracks, the only re-release I've bought of an album I have already is

but they should have re-recorded the whole thing instead of just 3 tracks, there was a new track on it which was a bit odd really as you would expect a band to release a new track.

That's also the only re-release I've bought :lol: If I had a band I wouldn't ever re-release my albums -_- Once an album is out, it's out and it should be as simple as that.

Exactly, if they haven't had sucess with the singles they should try with another track, if that doesn't work......move on to the next album. ;)

 

I will accept for CIN or something but even they should be left off the albums until the greatest hits for the pure fact the money raised from that song should all go to charity imo. ;)

Well I think Domino would have been more than pleased with the album sales and I don't think that they fought that there was any need to release another single as it wouldn't help album sales that much, so its better to move onto newer material to keep fans happy.
