Abe's Weekly Chart - Week #1 - Personal Charts

Hey. I think i'm gonna become a regular on here. I hope you guys enjoy my chart!! This is week #1. =)

So this is the first official top 25. I decided to start fresh and make a chart that's got more spots and up the suspense by making it weekly xD. My methodology is a bit complicated but here it is: Songs are eligible to chart if they have been released as a single in the past 6 months or if they are inside the UK Top 100 or US Billboard Hot 100. This way, i can limit the number of songs that can make it on and make the chart more stable. Songs get point by plays tracked by last.fm, how high they are on the charts, and personal ratings i have of them. Certifications will remain the same as before. I will also add a single of the week section, where i select one song i especially like this week. :D :D

Now for week no. 1!!! Phoenix get the first official no. 1 and with a little bit of help from the charts. Technically, 1901 was released over six months ago but luckily for Phoenix, 1901 is charted at 90 on the Billboard Hot 100 so it is eligible to chart and becomes the first no. 1 of my weekly chart with 430.500 points. The Black Eyed Peas' Imma Be (2) is the only other song to get more than 400.000 points, garnering 404.000 points this week. The Black Eyed Peas have a total of four songs on the chart this week, three inside the top 10. La Roux, Kings of Leon, and Lady GaGa also have multiple entries.

Smash of the Week:

I was a fan of Don't Trust Me but i kinda got tired of 3OH!3 eventually. Their music started sounding the same. This remix with Katy Perry, however, changed the game for me. Her singing is by far my favorite part and the song is good on its own. YouTube video when you click the artwork although it's relatively popular. Expect a jump from this song next week :wink:
