Is anyone else a fan? He wrote Eve Of Destruction (a hit for Barry McGuire), Take Me For What I'm Worth (a hit for The Searchers) and was tipped to be the next Dylan.. unfortunately it was always other artists who made his songs hits and his own career as a singer-songwriter in the mid 60's folk-rock boom never really took off. His first album, Songs Of Our Times, definately needs to be discovered by a wider audience. His songs are socially and politically sharp, and I think he's more accessible and less pretentious than Dylan.

I think those two were the most well-known, Let Me Be was a hit for The Turtles apparently but I can't really say that I've heard much of theirs other than Happy Together. He did write Secret Agent Man too

that wasnt a hit here, strange that the turtles are remembered for 'happy together' when it was their lesser of their three uk hits. thats was #12 whilst 'elenore' and 'shed rather be with me' were both top ten (#7, #4).

all three were great songs though!

Great Songwriter of his time.

I have this brilliant single from 1965 record by Manchester group Ivans Meads.

Titled - Sins Of A Family - it was written by P.F. Sloan
