Posted January 1, 201015 yr Okay, so I'm starting a thread for Girls Aloud's new album now, as I've just seen the best imaginable title for it; 'Back In Control'! I hope it is called this, as it'll show everyone that they're back as a group for good.
January 1, 201015 yr I wonder what musical direction this will take. I have to admit i'd like another song like SKO/SNNN but i have been loving their more sophisicated direction of OOC
January 1, 201015 yr I hope the new single is really fast like something kinda oooh that is when they are at their best!!! :D
January 1, 201015 yr I really hope they release a new album but I have a horrible feeling it's going to be pushed back and back and then they'll eventually split. I can really see Cheryl and Kimberley settling down sooner rather than later and having kids. However, assuming it is coming, I can't wait. I think the solo work for Sarah and Cheryl has improved their voices a lot. Cheryl was never that strong but she's clearly had to work and practice for her album and I think it'll pay off in any new GA album and performances
January 1, 201015 yr Awful Awful Awful album title! Still, I remain exited about this album. Despite the Cheryl album (which wasnt really up too much) November had a rather huge GA sized hole in it which needs filling for 2010 :)
January 1, 201015 yr I'm not that fond of that title. I'd love for them to do another Tangled Up sounding album.
January 1, 201015 yr dont like that title at all and i cant see it been the actual name either when the album eventually comes about.
January 1, 201015 yr I can't see it coming at the back end of the year, hoI'm wrong though :( Back with a boom on The X Factor would be good though!
January 1, 201015 yr Author I hope they release the first single in July/August-ish, make it a proper club banger, and a Summer anthem, then release another single during X Factor season, November-ish, and then the album comes out a week or two after.
January 2, 201015 yr I hope they release the first single in July/August-ish, make it a proper club banger, and a Summer anthem, then release another single during X Factor season, November-ish, and then the album comes out a week or two after. I agree, so they'll hopefully have 2 #1s to precede the album! :cheer: Cowell hinted on Xtra Factor that a Girls Aloud Week on next year's X Factor would be possible. :D
January 2, 201015 yr Cowell promised it so there should be one although I can't imagine it. However if they do get back together and have material ready for the live shows, I could see them using The X Factor to launch their comeback and have an X Factor performance as their first live TV performance as a group since their Untouchable promom it'd be a big thing for the show as well like when Britney and Whitney returned (not AS big but you get the idea) Edited January 2, 201015 yr by outlook
January 2, 201015 yr I'd love Girls Aloud to be back in late 2010, though Nadine will want a reasonable shot at her solo career...
January 5, 201015 yr That album title is a bit of letdown, based on previous titles they could have easily came up with something more inspired and memorable. The end of this year would be spot on with two singles to lead it off before release, as previously said. As much as I want the girls to have solo success, I always have a slight fear that they'll follow the Spice Girls route - get carried away with their solo careers and ditch the group. I mean if I were Cheryl Cole, and I'm having much more recognition and success as a solo artist than what I had with my long-time band why would I want to return to Girls Aloud only to gain less recognition and earnings.
January 10, 201015 yr I reckon we've seen the end with the 21-piece boxset :( I mean all members slag off their past experience in the group and various GA songs... Cheryl's going like a damn rocket and Nadine is yet to start her solo adventure... Nicola is too busy making dykey clothes, Sarah's too busy with St. Trinians and Kimberley was also reporting on solo stuff, so ya... I think we've seen the end.
January 10, 201015 yr They're contracted though. I must admit, i can see the 'return' being put on hold maybe until late 2011. Hope i'm wrong though. On this album title, do remember it's not going to be called 'Back In Control' that was just an idea suggested by Theo.
January 10, 201015 yr I had my worries when we got the medley at the end of the OOC tour that maybe it was the last time I was going to see them together, and the boxset added a little to that, but as Britney's released one and still going meh to that. I just hope they don't do a Spice Girls on us, who were still under contract too, and just fade away, without any thing official for the fans. If the end be nigh, give us one more album, and one hell of a tour to finish on! Hopefully we'll see it this winter!
January 10, 201015 yr Well if they don't get back together, they've ended on quite a high. Big tour, best selling studio album, brit award, etc. all in their last year. I think (or rather hope) they'll do another studio album, hopefully released later this year. And then release a greatest hits album for a farewell summer tour in 2011 before going off on their different paths. Cheryl and Kimberley want kids too much for them to go on any longer.
January 10, 201015 yr They have a record deal, so I don't understand why many people have worries. If they will split they will have to pay compensation. Money is no problem for Cheryl, but I'm sure that other girls would like release new album, maybe this album wouldn't be released in 2010, but there is no danger that out the control was their last album. We must be patient.
February 11, 201015 yr Nadine Coyle's solo career is holding up a new Girls Aloud album, according to Kimberley Walsh. Kimberley Walsh is presently trying to get the rest of Girls Aloud – Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts – back together to start work on a new, more mature LP, but Nadine is in Los Angeles working on her own music. Kimberley said: “I miss the girls. The plan is... Well, basically, Nadine needs to come over from Los Angeles. "We need to chat and book it in because there are five people’s diaries to work around, rather than just one.” Nadine has been working with Robbie Williams’ former songwriting partner Guy Chambers on her record, as well as writing songs for the album herself. Kimberley also played down rumours Girls Aloud – who are currently on a year hiatus – could split permanently now Nadine and Cheryl have started solo careers, Sarah has become an actress and Nicola has launched a make-up range. She added: “We signed up for three albums before we took the break. We always have to take it up a level and bring out new and exciting stuff. "The things we’ll be singing about will be quite different this time around.”
February 11, 201015 yr RAH! I'm so excited about it!! Come on Nadine, release your album and get back to London!
