Bat for Lashes - Two Suns Kicking off the albums is pop-country sensation Taylor Swift, this album has some great tracks, but could do with some trimming, there's a few too many fillers. #14 is Lake Heartbeat, once again there are some outstanding tracks, but a couple of duds bring it down, the same applies to Canadian star LIGHTS who's #13 with her debut disc The Listening, over half the tracks are great but some really let it down. #12 is Hadise with her stormer Fast Life, I'm going to Turkey in February and I hope all the music's like this :kink:. Just missing out on the top 10 is Bat For Lashes with her hypnotic Two Suns, how did this lose at the mercury's to Speech Debelle (whose album I also own :P)

Little Boots - Hands Kicking off the top 10 is Danish cellist Bird with one of the surprises of the year (for me) this album really has some incredible tracks on it. #9 is the much hyped Florence and the Machine with her impressive debut, if the vocals were less overlayed in parts, this could've been top 5. #8 is Leona Lewis and "the difficult second album", Echo really didn't disappoint me and really develops her as an artist, with many more upbeat tracks giving the album depth. Slow Club are at #7 with the simplistic Yeah So and 2009's flop of the year Little Boots is at #6 with Hands. This album has some storming electro-pop on it but is let down by the back end.

Polly Scattergood - Polly Scattergood And now the top 5! At five is the biggest album of the year and imo if it wasn't for the 8 tracks on the Fame Monster EP this album wouldn't be half as good.#4 is Velvet with The Queen, her album is full of dance stompers and despite lacking any real depth it really is a great album on the face of it. Mira Craig breaks into the top 3 with her third and best album, Ghetto Fairytale, this album is the best hip-hop album I've ever had and there are some tracks on it no music fan should be without. Just missing out on the top spot is Lily Allen with her second effort It's Not Me, It's You. She's greatly developed her sound from her first album and continued down the route of amusing lyrics/music with serious subject matter. Meaning #1 goes to Polly Scattergood with her debut disc and far and away the album of the year. Every track on this album is excellent but five of them are outstanding.

Beautiful Small Machines - Robots In Love [Peak: #1] Kicking off the top 5 is a song that shot straight in at #1 back in June and became the biggest hit of its month, beating AySel into 2nd place. This song is just beautiful and easily the best BJSC winner. A real stunner :wub:. Top song by an American on my EOY chart :P.

This song spent three weeks at #1 on my chart and became my second BJSC entry to penetrate the top 20. It's the standout track on her remarkable debut album, lyrics like "do you good soup" really sum up what an excellent piece of music this is. t's also the top song by a British artist.

This is a Eurovision classic and despite only peaking at #3 it remained high on my Last FM throughout the whole year as well as spending 3 months in the top 10. AySel is a star of the future and she truly deserves her two showings in the top 10. This is the top non BJSC song :kink: Now only two remain :o Annet Artani V Mira Craig.

Annet Artani - Alive [Peak: #1] Just missing out on the top spot is the track that spent a whole month at the top of my charts this summer, this song is such an anthem if you're being abused in some way or if you're not, like me, then it's just a great pop song from the Eurovision flop of yester-year. This was my top song in August and 2nd in September.

Mira Craig - I'm The One [Peak: #1] This song spent a month at #1 back in March and shifted 100k 7 weeks in a row. This song came off Mira's amazing Ghetto Fairytale album and despite flopping in her homeland of Norway it's cemented as one of my favourite tracks from her. It topped the month in March and remained in the top 3 in April. Thanks for reading :P
