I have a funny feeling we wont be seeing anyone in a place we can get photos. Paul doesn't have to rush off so he may be able to get some after the show.

 it's a while since we needed that :)

I do like that though. If you're at the show, you can't vote. I'll leave instructions for Mum.
I can see one or two people slipping to the toilet, mobile in hand !

Great to see that!

I'm not worried about Darius singing, I know he'll be brilliant, but my stomach is already turning over at the thoughts of waiting for the results to be announced.

Hope you all enjoy yourself. Looking forward to all your news. Sue

Are you waiting as well, Sue. Thought they would have been home by now.

There would be no point in me trying to get pics while Darius is doing this as it's a car to bring him and a car to take him away. He did really well. They gave him a piece for a tenor and he was probably the best there. I think he won over people when they heard how well he sings. I hope they give him one with a baritone's range for the next one.

There was a lot of support for Danny and some girls near us were saying how they already had a campaign for voting which would ensure he's win. I think Darius was well appreciated though. Alex said he was unwell and wouldn't appear.

Wow.. thank you so much Meg.. I'm so glad I waited up. I can go to sleep now knowing he looks so well and that he was appreciated. Did he speak to you? Did you meet up with many people from the site?

Did the judges pass comment on how well they thought they had done?

Darius was great tonight, definitely the best there.

Thank you. It's a bit tough if they're going to expect Darius to sing at the top of his range all the time. He can't get the same power no matter how well he's absorbed the techniques they've taught him for projecting his voice.

Now all he has to do is go out and wow another studio audience (and viewers) tonight.

If Alex James doesn't sing, do you think they'll put someone else out?

Is the show like Strictly, X Factor and DOI - can the judges save someone.

Yes, the judges decide who to save out of the two with the lowest votes....and that includes the two mentors.

thanks for the news, been waiting to hear. I wasnt expecting him to have to do tenor. will the public realise he is singing out of his usual range. Glad you all enjoyed it. There is also a campaign for Kym marsh to win.

Fantastic interview from Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, really enyoed watching that.

So pleased that it all went well and Darius was the best one, I cant wait to see it tonight.

so nervous now, although good to hear Dairus did good - I recall that Nigel Lythco said in PS - Darius is doing the bass, and is still the only one in tune..LOL

if he conquered the tenor, baritone would be excellent - surely they would give them songs in tehir range? or do opera singers have to sing in various ranges..

I suppose the girlies supporting Danny are as fanatic as we were, at least the judges choose, mind you that doesnt always work fairly!

and being philisophical- winning doesnt really prove anyting, we all know Hollins won strictly, but we all know Ricky was the better dancer - so as a publiity stage the show cant do Darius any harm in that front, not to say I wont be voting like mad...Danny mcfly indeed,

Just watched the laurence bowen interview, D never got a mention but a few of the others did.

What do you mean were?

I'm relieved that there is a chance to be saved. Darius needs to stay in for couple of weeks to make any impact.

As for him singing in his range, what is his true comfort zone? I just know it's somewhere between the lowest note in I'm Your Man and the highest in Nobody Knows You. He delivered them beautifully night after night.

This though is very different - opera singers really push their voices. If he is a tenor baritone rather than a bass baritone, he should be able to sing tenor arias but in a slightly lower key.

The GBP's ears are attuned to tenors. The only baritone I know of who regularly sings on TV, is Bryn Terfel

Arrrgh! I don't believe it. I didn't set the recorder and had to mute the TV to take a phone call earlier. Then I decided to type a post on another buzzjack forum. When I turned around again, I just caught the tail end of the interview.

Darius looked so serious and I was concerned but then he came out with the little jokey comment. Trying to melt into the background just isn't him at all.

Has Alex James dropped out?
