I am hoping Jimmy goes next week, its awful worrying about it, if D and Jimmy are botom two, I would fairly say JImmy should go but then again, who knows, it depends on the performance,

I hate this

as for Darius, I havent got a reply from him, wasnt expect any,

oh and the youtube video on that link seems to be just a darius campbell screensaver?

PIP, Jimmy went last week!

I don't think Rolando is picking on Darius. He did fluff one line and that's what Rolando was referring too. It was LL-B who put the boot in without any justification IMO.

Jimmy is still in. He was saved by the public last week because the judges split down the middle again.

qui - lol, yup I thought I was losing the plot.

as for rolando, I like him, and I feel what he says is genuine,

and for darius' good

its LLB with the wrong critism that I cant stand. He did seem impressed with the performance though, the complimentory matador comments, so I am with BT, he was so ingrossed in the performance he wasnt keeping up with lyrics and misunderstood rolandos comment on the french so jumped on it and made himself look stupid imo.

Unfortunately he also made Darius look stupid and completely erased from people's memory the positive comments Rolando had made about his performance, only second before.
Not speaking French, it left me worrying that Darius had messed up. It was only reading French speakers posts that I realised he hadn't. Most people who watch this wouldn't have had that advantage. It's that which worries me.
How about some Gilbert and Sullivan? That would be a bit different. Darius would be a knockout in that and it's much lighter than opera.

However I can't help thinking what we'll actually get if Darius doesn't win this dashed thing, is him back in the US within weeks. It's such a waste of talent. It's criminal.

That's exactly what I'm worried about! Please let something good come out of this for him. After putting himself through this(and us!!)he deserves it. If he just disappears again, all the new people who have discovered how good he actually is, will lose interest again, just like with GWTW, and it will all have been for nothing.

Have been meaning to ask, does the winner actually get a chance to sing opera somewhere? Also in the final, who is it down to who wins, judges or public? Sue

I would love to think something came from this show, wondered why Dame Dench, and Mr Valentine were in the audience..

why is it I am always worried about Darius whatever he does.

That's life, I think. And experience - so many times a positive has been turned to a negative in the media. Darius can go to LA and get out of it - we can't. It shouldn't matter as much to us but again, that's life.

I don't think that's Gareth Valentine.

I think he's a personal friend of Dame Judi. I've seen him with her on the red carpet a few times

I don't believe people actually thought Darius was serious when he jokingly asked "Is this French?"

Another looks like and it's actually a common one - A young Sean Connery

my mistake probably for suggesting it was GV. However I definitely have seen him before but its not with judi dench on the red carpet. They flashed to judi and him during Ds performance but its not to say that they were supporting him, but the man in particular was very excited and clapped D like mad so I think they were.

Someone has 'tweeted' on the PSTOP Twitter that Dame Judi Dench is a 'friend of Darius' !? Maybe she is checking him out for the next James Bond! :D

(Wishful thinking on my part!! )

Does the Sun read here - from todays -WE never would have had Dame Judi Dench pegged as a reality TV fan.

But the acting legend was seen in the audience for last night's recording of ITV1's Popstar to Operastar.

The Oscar-winner was beaming, as stars including Kym Marsh, Bernie Nolan and Jimmy Osmond belted out some classic operatic arias.

Presenters ... Alan Titchmarsh and Myleene Klass

The Saturday's Vanessa White was booted off, after landing in the bottom two for the second week running.

What's next, Dame Jude, Dancing On Ice? Waving a banner at a CBB evictiNeedless to say D doesnrt get a mention yet again.

Typical Sun.

Jimmy Osmond and Bernie Nolan did NOT sing arias - they sang Italian songs as did Danny Jones. At least Vanessa's was from an opera "Porgy and Bess" although some would argue that was a musical.

Sticking their heads in the sand and pretending Darius doesn't exist is futile. The elephant is in the room for everyone to see.
