They would do anything to help him stay in. Shame they don't do the same for Darius.

I like Danny. He seems to be a nice fella. He did put in a pretty awful performance last week though and on the strength of his first aria, I think Jimmy should have gone through.

 

It's the little extras for Kym that get me more. She has the best frock every week with the exception of Katherine's, she's allowed to mess up her French first time and forget the words the second time and that's glossed over and she hasn't been given anywhere near as difficult songs/arias as Marcella, Bernie and Darius. She had a chorus for the drinking song the very same week Darius did Toreador which is supposed to be performed with a chorus. he messed up the pronunciation of one line and the judges made it look like he'd made a complete mess of it with Rolando adding this week that he didn't learn his words. He flippin' did because I can hear them all individually and point them out on the lyrics sheet.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think Darius is becoming more like his father as he gets older?

 

There have been expressions in each of the first three performances that he is just Booth's double.

I've always thought he was a mix of both parents. You can see each of them clearly in his face. It amazes me how someone can look equally like two completely different people.

Marcella tweeted an hour ago that she's "live at 5" on channel 5? with darius tomorrow - so hopefully there will be confirmation of that sometime on Wednesday.

There was a tweet about Marcella singing in St Martins tonight. I wonder if she's doing one of the "religious"ones like Panis Angelicus, Pie jesu, Ave Maria this week. They'd sound superb and very emotional with her high range.

as BT says it all seems weighed against Darius, I ws thinking the eact things BT has posted.

The aria Danny is singing is very well known to the public.

Thanks, delphi. Preston, Danny is fine with pop, not with opera. They'll keep him in anyway for the viewing figures. Darius is good - whatever happens we will have heard a minimum of 4 pieces we'd never have heard. I'll be voting like mad to try and make it at least 5.

To my ears there is nothing distinctive about Danny's voice. It's pleasant but even when he gets the opera influence like his second song, IIMHO there's no great tone.

 

Maybe LL-B's ears are attuned very differently to mine.

Couple of new tweets. Darius loved War Horse andrecommends it. More importantly he's actually rehearsing this morning.

It made me laugh on the vid from last week when Aria picked up his phone. I've known someone else do that a lot.
