January 12, 201015 yr I would love to see 'I see you' become a massive hit, it is far better then the material on 'echo'. Is it getting an official UK release does anyone know? It's likely to get an oscar nomination.
January 12, 201015 yr None? Exactly. Why is the MTV "European" Top 20 entering songs that aren't charting anywhere? Then again, this is the same chart that had The Killers 'The World We Live In' at no. 1 for some bizarre reason. It still makes for interesting reading. The HET30 reflects the current European market better. ^_^
January 12, 201015 yr Actually, this is NOT the same chart as the one that had "The World We Live In" by The Killers at number 1! The "real" MTV European Top 20 - as it had existed for more than a decade - stopped after April 11, 2009. After that there were various charts pretending to be the MTV European Top 20 - the one they used to broadcast on MTV Latvia and MTV Estonia was the one where "The World We Live In" reached number 1. However, as time passed, it became clear that that chart wasn't a real continuation of the old MTV European Top 20... In fact, they actually stopped broadcasting it in September last year! The chart posted here is the one that MTV Europe began broadcasting after April 11, 2009. It's largely based on the Eurochart but with the songs in French and German taken out. Still, from time to time there are editions of the chart that are "made up" - not actually based on an edition of the Eurochart. I think the newest one is an example of this - the evidence is the debut of "I See You" by Leona Lewis.

There's another website for the MTV European Top 20 HERE website that lists all the MTV Europe top 20 charts since December and lists all charts from 2009. They've yet to include the chart for 02/01/10. I'm not sure if all these charts are the same as those posted in 2009. I noticed looking through that 'The World We Live In' doesn't appear to have even entered the MTV European Top 20 unless if sneaked in low and dropped out?
January 14, 201015 yr I noticed looking through that 'The World We Live In' doesn't appear to have even entered the MTV European Top 20 unless if sneaked in low and dropped out? It didn´t enter the chart at all! There's another website for the MTV European Top 20 HERE website that lists all the MTV Europe top 20 charts since December and lists all charts from 2009. They've yet to include the chart for 02/01/10. I'm not sure if all these charts are the same as those posted in 2009. This site has the biggest archive of the European Top 20, the real chart being from August 1991 to 2009 April 11. From April 18 of 2009 after the cancellation of the real European Top 20, the charts come from the chart shown on MTV Europe. The charts of 1989/1990 are the charts posted by Grybop in the ukmix forum which I shared on buzzjack about a year ago. By the way, I examined these charts very closely and I have several reasons to believe that the 1989/1990 editions aren´t part of the real European Top 20. Many of the songs in these editions charted in only one or two European countries. Even though the top part of the charts contain big hits of that time, it feels like it may have been a completely different chart altogether.
