She beat the United Kingdom by one point  naturally, she CAN'T be forgiven. -_-

I do like the song though, and she was delighted to win, you could see that bless her. ^_^

I thought she did really well. Great performance. Was clear she was gonna be a star.

Yeah the performance was amazing, I've only seen it on the internet though as I wasn't around when she won! :P

After Abba I think she is the biggest star to come out of the Eurovision?

she will give abba a run for thee money et in terms of most albums sold

she did perform well that night at eurovision, but she looks so so different now than she looked then

she was only 20 years old at the time. she did change a lot when it comes to appearence and her voice nowadays is better than ever.
  • 3 weeks later...
whatever happened to the guy she beat by one point representing the uk,i wonder did any of the other performers who met celine during eurovision ever think she would end of one of the worlds biggest selling females

Some peeps said they could tell by the way she performed, how well she sang and her appearance that she would be a big star some day.

and they were right :)

There some great voices around nowadays but Celine's done it all.

it's become way too commercial. used to watch it when was younger with snacks and drinks and all that and now i have it on in the background doing whatever i need to do. it's been really bad for years now.

yes,i agree, years ago it was a big family programme where everyone woul dsit down and watch it and have crisps and coke etc

now its no more a song contest than i am jon bon jovi,

Even my gay friends who are big big eurovision fans said its gone down the tubes.
  • Author
the gay's aren't the problem. politics are.

i agree. i should stop watching it actually.

It has gone ludicrously downhill. I started wathcing in 1996, and it was great until 2003 for me. 1999 was a bit of a stinker, where all countries were allowed to sing in English if they wanted <_< which is one of the UK's downfalls, and 2004 was a terrible mistake letting 36+ countries vote. They are killing the show. -_-

United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain, Germany, Netherlands and other original countries should pull out and make their own contest. ^_^
