Posted January 6, 201015 yr http://musicomh.com/carousel/images/knife-480.jpg Commissioned by Danish performance group Hotel Pro Forma to write the music for their opera based on Charles Darwin and his book On The Origin Of Species, The Knife collaborated with Mt. Sims and Planningtorock. They researched Darwin related literature and articles; Olof Dreijer went so far as attending a field recording workshop in the Amazon to find inspiration and to record sounds. The first fruits of their labour is the epic Colouring Of Pigeons, which can be had for free from The Knife's official website now. The album follows on 1st March through Rabid/Brille.\ Excitingg. 'Colouring of Pigeons' is brilliant. Edited January 6, 201015 yr by Jake
