March 18, 201015 yr I should be getting ready to go out with my friend for our Thursday jaunt. Today we're off to Burns Cottage. Neither of us has been there for ages. It's pretty overcast at the moment so I better take a raincoat. I'm lethal with an umbrella. If you want to REALLY know what a lethal brolly wielder is, try walking anywhere near my Mum when she has one. We ended up confiscating it as we doubted we'd survive many more trips with it.
March 18, 201015 yr I hate sharing a brolly with husband. He always holds it high up, like Mary Poppins, and all the rain comes underneath it and onto me, because I'm little. We end up arguing everytime! Sue
March 18, 201015 yr Had a nice day although it was somewhat bracing! In the end I didn't bother with a rain coat either and I managed to dodge the only heavy shower there was.
March 19, 201015 yr Looks like its going to be another Lovely day here too .....bout Bloody time we started to get all the sunshine again!! :cheer: I'm meant to be kicking Bri and Chris out of bed.......i'll go and do it in a min, another couple of mins wont hurt them!Lol Edited March 19, 201015 yr by darius4me
March 19, 201015 yr Off to Pets at Home to buy special food for my cats. I might look for a new toy too. The big one has a new lease of life after the vet gave him an injection of antibiotics and has started playing with toys for the first time in yonks. Then I've got to go to the opticians to pick up a new pair of specs. Both pairs had lenses continually falling out. I think I'm quite careless with them because I don't have to wear them all the time. I got fed up taking them back in, so I just ordered another pair. I have a pair of prescription sunglasses but surprisingly enough I haven't had much chance to wear them this year.
March 19, 201015 yr I'm a bit like that. I have £2.99 reading glasses and leave them around the house. It is such a nuisance having to put them on.
March 19, 201015 yr Been gardening all afternoon and now I can't move, even if I wanted to do something else. It's the first good 'gardening day' we've had. Sue
March 25, 201015 yr It's miserable here, so we're staying in Glasgow today. Off to the West End for some retail therapy. There are still some interesting and quirky shops there. Then we'll lunch and go on to the Botanic Gardens.
March 25, 201015 yr I really miss going out for lunch and a coffee - told Dave he'd better recover quickly. It's just not the same without him. Still met a friend for coffee yesterday. Such a shame I still can't push Mum that far.
April 2, 201015 yr Well I should be working on the Sparkfm website but it's all a bit confusing and the cat decided to drape herself all over me earlier so now my desk, keyboard and me are covered in cat fur. Definately need to change and clean before the bf comes over as he allergic to the cats! :(
April 2, 201015 yr You wouldn't be without your cat though. Ours used to sit on whatever you were doing until they had your full attention.
April 3, 201015 yr Our cat Cleo, when she wanted to be fed early in the morning, used to jump onto the bed, climb onto my chest and pat me with her paw until I opened my eyes. She decided she'd have her breakfast around 5am each day! Still miss her. Going out for tea today so I need to get off here and get things sorted. Sue
April 4, 201015 yr Your cat Cleo reminds of the youtube videos 'Simon's Cat' Sue! I do love my cats and they are always happy to see me when I come home from uni but they cover me head to toe in fur this time of year! It's a real pain when I've just put clean clothes when I have to get the roll of cellotape out and give myself a good pat all over to get rid of!
