Our last dog was a short haired one - we thought it'd make the dog hair easier - there was just 4 times as much and it stuck everywhere - you couldn't just vac it up.

It's beautiful and sunny here. I got of the tube at Covent Garden so I could have my normal look around the market and walk over the bridge to Waterloo.
Lovrly day. I should be gardening, but I have to go to the shops.
I seem to have spent a lot of the day walking around from place to place. I should now be going to take Dave's post to the post office.
Have been to the opticians to pick up some new glasses and now I don't know if I like them. I always do this. Have thrown them in the drawer in disgust! Am going to sort out tea and pretend they're not there. Sue

I managed to throw Mum to the floor from her wheelchair. I have no idea why the chair suddenly stopped - there were no obvious uneven bits to jar it. She's now sporting a rather nifty black eye and I feel ever so guilty. I took one look at David's knee and got in touch with the doctor. He's back on antibiotics for the next two weeks.

It hasn't been a marvellous day - well, apart from the weather. Since I went out in a fine jumper, I was much too hot.

Hope they are both feeling better now.........you certainly have your hands full. Aren't there safety straps on

wheelchairs? Or does your Mum object to being strapped in.

I should be gardening, Hubby is already outside so I had better join him.

Oh Meg, I'm so sorry. That would be a shock for both of you. At least your mum didn't break anything, a black eye is dreadful, but it could have been worse. Don't feel guilty because you were only doing your best and wheelchairs are awful thing to push, they always seem to have a mind of their own, like shopping trollies.

Poor David, hope his knee improves as well. Sue

I think Mum is quite enjoying the black eye. We were really lucky she wasn't badly hurt. Dave is cheesed off but Pam and Nina came round to day and cheered him up.
I've been out walking - it is beautiful here. Shame about the cold breeze though. It's lovely and warm in the sheltered bits. I'm having lunch now. I should be washing up.
I should be doing lots of delicious web stuff but I'm waiting for the internet connection to catch up with how fast I am... ugh not looking forward to the dire thing they call the wireless network at uni when I go back next week <_<

It's really good at home but at uni it's a rubbish network anyway and then it is sucked up by so many people facebooking on their laptops. I dunno if it's just my comp though cos I couldn't even get onto the network when I got there in September because my operating system was too new.

Atleast I'm not still on dialup... ugh remember not being able to use the phone?

My daughter was forbidden to use the phone or the internet without asking. In the end we just got a second line.

Pulled glasses out from the drawer and went back to the opticians this morning and they had put the wrong prescription in the right eye!! No wonder I didn't like them. Also because they couldn't adjust them to fit me properly, something about the metal used, and the fact that they had made a mistake, they suggested I choose another pair. Hope to get it right this time.

Have spent so long on the computer trying to sort out trains for Carmen visit that I need to get back in the garden and finish off what I started this afternoon! Can't really be bothered now. Sue

Gardens can wait - Carmen can't. I'm glad you've got the glasses sorted. Dave wears glasses and the only time he had problems was with specsavers. They went back 3 times but they've never been right. He's gone back to the local optician that he'd always had before.
