Lady GaGa continues her run of excellent singles with 'Bad Romance' at 40, more from the mainstream with Ke$ha at 39, the original of 'Tik Tok' is an ok song but I find the Fred Falke really kicks the life into it that it needed, just like he did with 'New In Town'. Animal Collective get their first entry, Saint Etienne's criminally underrated pop song appears as do Glasveags, continuing their good form of 2008.

Plenty of new artists here, Delphic are definitely ones to watch out for in 2010 and have lots of hype surrounding them at the moment (deserved, too!), Florence was this years Brits Choice Award winner and she's closely followed by Ellie Goulding, who's next years winner! A.R. Rahman may have found chart success with the Pussycat Dolls but it's his collaboration with M.I.A. that made me take notice of him and his Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack. 'Robots In Love' is a beautiful 3 minute pop song, I can hope they might be successful one day.

Thanks Aaron. I did it really quickly as I'd already done it on another forum where I hadn't been doing my decade chart, so it's just a copy/paste job! :P

'One Love' is great, I've quite liked Estelle's singles since she came back last year, 'One Love' definitely deserved more, I'd have preferred 'Memories' to be released though.

A far more well known 5 than the last group. Doves were back on form this year and lead single 'Kingdom of Rust' is as good as anything on the album, Muse enter with a song which I loved as soon as I heard, not something that happens often with them. It's not often I enjoy the biggest selling and most overplayed songs of the year but I just can't tire of 'I Gotta Feeling', The Prodigy were back on form too this year with 'Omen' and 'Winter Winds' has an unsurprising wintery feel and is my Christmas number one!

The other huge song of the year appears in 'Poker Face', again I just cannot tire of it. The Pains of Being Pure at Heart are my favourite new band of the year, the Drums don't sound too dissimilar to them and are another big hope for 2010, 'Arcadia' is easily the best of the Ash A-Z series so far and Little Boots makes another appearence with 'Remedy'.

Phoenix get their second entry with a fantastic slice of indie pop, Van She chart high with their only ever entry on my personal chart, two acts I think are alright combine to make a song I've grown to adore in Jay Z and Alicia Keys, Arctic Monkeys get their 9th hit in 5 years, just one place lower than their highest ever, and TV on the Radio make it 2 year end top 20s out of 2 hits!

055 James Yuill 'No Surprise' *debut*

I thought i was the only one loving this! :( :w00t:

Dizzee Rascal gets the highest ranked number one single of the year with 'Bonkers', just beating his peak of last year. Weirdly, last years highest placed UK number one ('Sex on Fire') was also ranked #15 year end. Former Be Your Own PET lead singer Jemina Pearl went solo this year and teamed up with Iggy Pop for the marvellous 'I Hate People', Kasabian, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Little Boots all all get their final entries.
