Genres: Post-Hardcore, Alternative Rock, Rock, Emo

For fans of: Brand New, Glassjaw, Thursday, The Recieving End Of Sirens

Info:

Thrice is an American post-hardcore/experimental rock band that formed in Irvine, California in 1998. The lineup consists of Dustin Kensrue (vocals and guitar), Teppei Teranishi (guitar), Eddie Breckenridge (bass), and Riley Breckenridge (drums).

My thoughts:

I really like Thrice and have heard all but their first two albums, however if I'm honest I don't really want to hear their first but I will get around to listening to their second. The first three albums are less experimental and interesting than the next four and I don't like the one I've heard (The Artist In The Ambulance) nearly as much as the later ones. 'Vheissu' is remarkable, as is the 'Fire & Water' side of their Alchemy Index project, it hasn't been perfect since they changed their sound as the second half of the Alchemy Index wasn't that good, luckily their newest 'Beggars' is very good.

Here's how I'd rank the albums I've heard:

1. Alchemy Index Vol. 1 and 2: Fire & Water

2. Vheissu

3. Beggars

4. Alchemy Index Vol. 3 and 4: Air & Earth

5. The Artist In The Ambulance

Reccomended Songs:

Red Sky

Firebreather

For their earlier sound check out The Artist In The Ambulance

Ah yes, Image of the Invisible is good.

The Artist In The Ambulance is my least favourite of the three I posted, but my favourite off of that album.
