I just wanted to remember Elvis on what would have been his 75th birthday.

It's so fantastic that his legacy lives on and will continue to do so as long as music is relevant in people's lives.

I only ever saw "Elvis by the Presleys" as an edited documentary a while back (which I think was only on for an hour and a half) but BBC4 have been showing it since Tuesday, in 4 one hour segments at around 11pm...the final part's on tonight.

I've seen many Elvis documentaries and films about him but I really think this is one of the best as it really shows Elvis as the man as well as his music, (although the performance footage is fantastic).

The reason I like this documentary is that it's the people who were directly involved with Elvis..his wife, daughter, in-laws, cousin and close friend. It wasn't one of those documentaries where you here..."A friend of a friend of a friend said........"

I'll just take this moment to say hi to Carole and Lesley..not been Buzzjack for a while!

There's lot's of great Elvis on tonight so I hope everyone enjoys!

Oh yes, "Elvis 75" is provisionally sitting in the Top 15 as of todays chart update for Sunday!!!!

Great to see you again, Ian :cheer: - we've missed you.

As Ian says, Elvis' legacy will live on. His music was so special and he was a special man  It's hard to imagine Elvis at 75, but if he was still here with us, I can imagine he would still be involved in music, maybe in gospel music as that was his first love B)

Feom humble beginnings, that January day in 1935

Keep watching the second song is cool (I think so anyway) a bit of gospel which Elvis would hopefully like ;D
