Me and my Irish mate Ben set up a Facebook group to Get Kiss To #1 in early 2009 - so far it's complete failure, however we're aiming to get them to #1 in May during the UK leg of their tour (Glasgow, 9th (SOLD OUT) / Manchester, 10th MEN Arena / 12th (SOLD OUT) & 13th at Wembley).

These campaigns are popping up everywhere!!

 

Like I said in another thread, These new campaigns wont work because they wont have as much media attention as the Rage one

 

This will be an epic fail

it's already epic fail imo, but i'll keep this open since this is getting a decent response,

 

 

it's hardly for a good enough reason, unlike Rage.

 

 

and as said above, these wont work for a few reasons, media coverage, rage already doing it (people dont care for another, it's Kiss, they arent exactly the greatest band ever.

 

 

if people think this is more suitable for uk chart chat i'll move it, but it will only be shunned and buried quicker.

Surely if you wanted to do this you should pick on of their better tracks, like Rock N Roll All Nite or Strutter not some dodgy cover they did for a movie???

If it's not for a good cause then f*** OFF!! Campaigns that are just for laughs or just to get a track in to the charts just because..are f***ing stupid. Thye should have a good cause behind them, if not then f*** off with these moronic f***ing campaigns.

IKR, there isnt even a reason, lets get Kiss to number one for the hell of it o_0 like RATM, there was a reason for it, and it was also raising money for shelter, this is just pointless.

 

sadly loads are starting post-rage.

First off, this group was created 12 months ago though I wasn't sure how to pull together and make it a success.

 

There are some other annoying #1 campaigns but one good thing out of this, is that it was the last song drummer Eric Carr featured on for Kiss before his death in 1991.

 

Secondly it would be a good thing to bring charity into it and I'll have a chat with my co-group founder to see who we should go it for. If you have any suggestions for charities let me know.

 

 

 

 

how is Eric Carr's death significant to it being number one at your proposed date? i dont quite see any point in this campaign apart from your a big fan of Kiss o_0 and the fact it's been going 12 months and you only just have over 200 members doesnt give it much hope of succeding (not to p*** on your parade too much :P)

 

as for charities, I suggest maybe something that goes towards the current Haiti crisis, keeps it current and topical, that could boost your member base a bit itself.
