Posted January 12, 201015 yr Much more sensible interview than the one they did when he was in GWTW . It was nice to see Darius and Jimmy so relaxed. I was worried about Darius when I saw how skinny he looked in the profile pictures but he looks more like the old Darius today. The hair looks much better. I wonder if hes been home to Scotland and popped into Taylor Ferguson. Edited January 12, 201015 yr by prettyinpink
January 12, 201015 yr Author We're going to miss .net for that. I suppose the sacrifice is worth it to keep the position on google though. There are an awful lot of Darius Campbells and the site could get lost otherwise..
January 12, 201015 yr Just watched. It showed a tiny bit of the practise. He sounded better than Jimmy but it was only a snip. I felt Darius needed a bit of TLC....looked a bit 'dragged out of bed' to me. within the interview....a recorded one not the live GMTV....he, very seriously, said he had lost 2 shows and 3rd time lucky, he didn't want to lose this....then he laughed....so glad they kept the laugh in.
January 12, 201015 yr I overslept and missed it. gutted. Will it be put up on here. If it goes onto YouTube we can add it

Is it just me? Beforehand I thought the practice snippets were genuine but after seeing those two I'm not so sure. Jimmy's a much better singer than that and Darius's "reaction" presumably to making a mistake didn't look at all natural to me - the screwed up face and hands over the face looked more like something he'd been directed to do. On a more positive note, he did sound good. Edited January 12, 201015 yr by Baytree
January 12, 201015 yr Author Absolutely - funny and down to earth and it's clear he's relishing the experience and taking it seriously, even counting the different changes he'll have to make to his singing.
January 12, 201015 yr I missed it, due to be up all night being sick am gutted I missed it. I am sure GMTV put the interview on the website so it will be on there at some point, I have just check and it is not on yet. I will keep my eye on it
January 12, 201015 yr Haven't seen it yet as I'm at work :( but have it recorded for when I get home tonight.
January 12, 201015 yr Author I think there were 2 important points he had to deal with, and he did - come clean in public and in advance of the show about his previous foray into opera and deal with the name change.
January 12, 201015 yr Which made his previous statements about opera look suspect. Sticking to the truth is always better. I'm not a fan of spin.
January 12, 201015 yr Author Often the press blows up rows about people's previous relevant experience if it hasn't been revealed before the show starts. hopefully they won't try to use it against him now. Edited January 12, 201015 yr by Baytree
January 12, 201015 yr Author Maybe absence does make the heart grow fonder. Meantime, I keep waiting for the storm to break.
