From that list, I like:

All Saints Pure Shores  (stunning pop song, will always be my fave All Saints single)

Melanie C / Lisa Left Eye Lopes Never Be The Same Again

Madison Avenue Don't Call Me Baby

Ronan Keating Life Is A Rollercoaster (good but not good enough for Heat 2)

Robbie Williams Rock DJ (as above)

Destiny's Child Independent Women Part 1

Jennifer Lopez Love Don't Cost A Thing (I like it but it isn't a strong track)

Emma Bunton What Took You So Long (as above)

Destiny's Child Survivor

S Club 7 Don't Stop Movin' (I actually preferred 'NHADCT', a very strong pop song)

Christina Aguilera / Lil' Kim / Mya / Pink Lady Marmalade

Kylie Minogue Can't Get You Out Of My Head

Yeah its easy to just vote for the recent songs since they're still fresh on your mind, and you still love them to death. But whenever I vote in these kind of things I try to transport myself back to the times when they were released, the feelings those songs gave me when I first heard them on the radio or wherever, and also the memories they bring back of some great times.

That last sentense about memories is probably the reason why you long for dance music to be like in was in 2000. You clearly have fond memories from around 9/10 years ago (student days, hanging out with mates at the pub, going clubbing). Then we get a bit older and it's no longer the same.

Hah indeed, I was 15 in 2000 so I was starting my first clubbing experience. Those years remind me of high school and friends, and definitely a time when everything seemed much better, including TV, radio and music channels hah

That's because TV, radio and music channel were better in 2000. So you're four years younger than me. I was 19 in 2000, finishing my GVNQ in Art & Design and going to some of the local pubs and clubs with mates from both college and high school. It seems mad to think since I started work in 2005 I haven't had anywhere near as many nights out as I did when I was in full time education. -_-
