January 15, 201015 yr Yan's German chart comments - Issue date Jan 15 As last year, a great start for Lady Gaga in 2010 as she rules both the singles and albums German charts this week. Thus Keri Hilson has to retreat to #2, as the wonderful "Bad Romance" quite deservingly becomes Gaga's third number one single in Germany, following the footsteps of "Paparazzi" and "Poker Face". The third position goes to former number one, Aura Dione's "I Will Love You Monday (365)". At number four we have another former chart topper in the face of Black Eyed Peas'"Meet Me Halfway". In other words - quite a movement on the top of the singles chart at the start of the new decade... The highest new entry (and actually the only one) belongs to electro-rap project Frauenarzt & Manny Marc at #12. "Disco Pogo" follows "Das geht ab" from last year, which slowly but persistently became a huge party hit in Germany and eventually reached a peak at #8. And as it is still played at every party event, I think it will not go away soon. Actually in its 34th week in the countdown, the song goes up a position to #22. The biggest leap in the chart can be observed by German band Jennifer Rostock, whose Twilight hit "Es tut wieder weh" jumps from 64 to 48. So the albums chart is once again occupied by Gaga, while the German Il Divo, or Adoro, jump with their second LP to #2 from #5. The third position is taken by the live album and DVD of Peter Fox, one of the best buys currently. The only new entry is at the very end, as the CD and DVD with the Viennese New Year Concert 2010 enters at 2010.
