Posted January 18, 201015 yr http://i48.tinypic.com/2dtzkly.jpg Hey all and welcome to this week's Official Buzzjack Hot 40, the chart made up of sales, airplay and the all-important multichart, giving an all round accurate view of the tunes Buzzjackers, and indeed the rest of the country, have been enjoying this week. Lady GaGa made it a 5th week at the top last week but faced tough competition this week. Here is how the chart panned out... Asterisks denote bullets, given to songs that have increased in pointage and are generally on their way "up" the chart. This week / Last Week / Artist - Song (Peak) (Weeks) 1 1 Lady GaGa – Bad Romance (6x1) (13) 2 10 Iyaz – Replay* (2) (2) 3 7 3Oh!3 feat. Mr Hudson – Young Forever (16) (4) 17 16 Pixie Lott – Cry Me Out (5) (11) 18 NE Glee Cast – Don’t Stop Believing* (18) (1) 19 17 Cheryl Cole – Fight For This Love (4x1) (17) 20 15 Alicia Keys – Doesn’t Mean Anything (9) (7) 21 30 Justin Bieber – One Time* (21) (2) 22 23 Jason DeRulo – Watcha Say* (6) (10) 23 11 Joe McElderry – The Climb (2) (5) 24 32 Alicia Keys – Empire State Of Mind Part II* (24) (2) 25 21 Alexandra Burke feat. Flo Rida – Bad Boys (1x1) (19) 26 20 Timbaland feat. SoShy – Morning After Dark (11) (7) 27 31 OneRepublic – All The Right Moves* (27) (2) 28 27 Journey – Don’t Stop Believing* (26) (6) 29 NE Plan B – Stay Too Long* (29) (1) 30 22 Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys – Empire State Of Mind (4) (18) 31 34 Girls Can’t Catch – Echo* (31) (3) 32 NE JLS – One Shot* (32) (1) 33 26 Black Eyed Peas – I Gotta Feeling (6x1) (29) 34 36 Biffy Clyro – Many Of Horror (When We Collide)* (34) (2) 35 25 Wiley – Take That (25) (3) 36 RE Lady GaGa feat. Beyonce – Telephone* (29) (3) 37 33 Paolo Nutini – 10/10 (33) (2) 38 29 Michael Buble – Haven’t Met You Yet (10) (18) 39 NE Marina and the Diamonds – Hollywood* (39) (1) 40 39 Florence and the Machine – Dog Days Are Over (39) (2) As you can see, there was strong competition from Iyaz and Owl City this week for the top spot, but as Buzzjackers have taken a while to warm to Replay, and Fireflies is currently just picking up on the airwaves, Lady GaGa clinches a further week at number one. She is now joint with I Gotta Feeling for weeks at number one, and only has herself to beat with Poker Face, which spent 7 non-consecutive weeks at the top last year. Owl City's Fireflies gets a record of its own this week, with the highest new entry on this chart (which has been compiled since the beginning of 2009) to date, thanks to its early addition to iTunes. Its debut at #6 beats Joe McElderry who entered the Christmas chart at #9 before climbing to #2. Four more new entries this week from the cast of Glee at #18, Plan B at #29, JLS at #32 and Marina and the Diamonds at #39. Also, Telephone, the new single from Lady GaGa and Beyonce, after a brief spell at the end of the last year due to multichart alone, re-enters the chart this week now that its official release is nearing. Finally Alicia Keys sets a new record for most songs on the top 40 for a single (living :kink: ) artist with 3 songs charting this week. A few Youtube videos coming up, and other than that, have a good week everyone. Tom will be back to bring you next week's chart. Edited January 18, 201015 yr by Peter30

January 18, 201015 yr Thanks Peter :cheer: Tipping Glee for a big climb next week, it's only just getting any airplay...
January 18, 201015 yr Author Really? I know it's been playlisted by Radio 1 but I didn't think it would get a huge amount of airplay. Although it will climb the multichart again I'm sure so it's almost certain to be top ten regardless. I'd say it's between Iyaz and Owl City next week, and possibly Alexandra.
January 18, 201015 yr I don't see Glee going to number one, but I think a lot of stations will follow the example of R1 and add it, top 5 contender I'd say. I think Owl City will do it on the Hot 40 this week, but Iyaz probably still has sales in the bag (sadly) :(
January 18, 201015 yr Owl will remain #2 on sales, and increase airplay (is he above Iyaz on airplay yet?) and probably go up on the multichart, so I think he'll be #1 here
