Posted July 5, 200619 yr http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bb/Jill_Scott.jpg Jill Scott has spoken out against the degrading images of woman in the black community (which of course i suppose is dominated by mainly macho hip-hop culture). Does Ms Scvott have a point? Do you think anything will be done to stop these images of booty filled hip hop videos? and would anyone who enjoys hip hop want anything to be done?
July 5, 200619 yr I don't like it, but it's a phase that humanity is going through. Don't see anything especially different in hip-hop, you'll find the same in pop music. This thread http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10583 seem to be all about the same thing really.
July 6, 200619 yr i hate it, yet again i cite the punk era for breaking down the old sexist views on women. women are more then just sex objects and i really dont like sex being used in such an overt way to sell records. you dont have to be so graphic to come across as 'sexy'.
