He was on the late late show saying he wanted to represent Ireland in the eurovision. Apparently it's no joke either he seemed deadly serious. He even sang and he was really good. :o

What do you think of this? He said he's getting Ronan Keating to write a song for him.

People asked him why not rep Britain but he said something along the lines of it would be too easy to be picked to rep britain since he's from there, eurovision is about travel and that Ireland has the best pedigree of entries (before Dustin obvs :P)

Apparently though he tried Estonia first and they outed him though :/

Apparently he also tried Andorra. He even offered to pay their participation fee out of his own pocket and they still turned him down

They must really not like him over there, as letting him would've made it so they could take part, but instead they withdrew :P

Andorra must have high standards

Looks like Justin is very happy with his song from Ronan:

"Justin said that he was delighted with the song Ronan Keating has written for his Eurovision bid.

He said: "It's up-tempo. It's very Ronan and I'm surprised he's given it to me, it's a really good song. It's not kitsch which is usually my forte. My default is Tom Jones but I can't do that this time."

Any chance of BWO singing it? They haven't entered MF this year, have they? Maybe they've decided to try their luck with Ireland instead...

Don't think they will be revealed soon. The national final doesn't take place until the beginning of March, and last year, they were first revealed on Irish radio at some point during the week before the selection, can't remember the exact time. Certainly not more than a week before the selection :(

You're right, chances are they won't be heard in any shape or form until a day or two before the final.

And I don't think BWO are likely to be singing it, I think they've effectively disbanded for the time being.
