Basing a career on flying round the world appearing on tv shows doesn't make for establishing a solid fanbase. Will doubled his album sales from debut to second album. Leona's 2nd album sales have been disappointing in comparison. Let's see how she sells in the coming years when like Will she hasn't the support of the big radio stations & believe me it will happen.

 

As for biggest selling talent show winner worldwide go check out Kelly Clarkson & Carrie Underwood. :P

Will young only doubled his debut album because it wasnt half as successful as leona's first. Leona's debut is based on 2years worth of sales. Echo has been out 2months! So dont make any judgements about echo till at least end of the year because it already has 600.000 sales and thats will one single & limited promo. It will sell consistently throughout 2010..

 

Kelly clarkson i really like however, she hasnt had great worldwide success, she has flopped hard over here and carrie underwood has no worldwide fame at all (both being around AGAIN for many years before leona)

 

will young (again been around a lot longer then leona) flopped with his new material and you know it, his greatest hits shows the end.

I hope leona will be around longer then he has been, and i'm sure she will be looking at the success she is having right now and has had so far.

As I said re Leona time will tell how long she continues to be successful. As you know things become more difficult for artists when they aren't receiveing huge airpaly. Leona is fortunate in the UK at the moment but things can easily change as you well know with her fortunes in the US. Then artists have to rely on the fanbase they have built up & I'm not sure Leona has spent enough time doing that. In fact I can't think of any artist who has given so little back to thier home fans.

 

Anyway I'll leave this now I'm sure other members don't want me keep flagging up your petulant posts. :P
