It's not even essential that this is left open. But what was the point of closing it? The argument that took place was resolved before it was closed, so really there was no need.

Anyway, I can quite see why Cheryl wouldn't want Britney's songs, not that she thinks they're $h!t, but it simply isn't her style.

 

Music wise, her album isn't pop like Britney's pop, it's more r'n'b/pop, due to her personal taste and to will.i.am influence of course.

And above all lyrics wise, do you imagine Cheryl singing "3", "If you seek Amy" or "Gimme more"? No. Her lyrics are a lot less trashy (and once again it's not an INSULT to Britney, just a difference), which is quite understandable since Cheryl's a married woman and her image isn't trashy.

 

So EVEN IF Cheryl ever said she doesn't want to sing Britney's song, that was nothing insulting or arrogant, it's just her style and image are too different from Britney's.

Cheryl needs easier songs to sing to be fair, not to offend any - but she hasn't got much of a range, and she sounds bored on most of her tracks. To put this into context, there would need to be a lot of autotune on her voice for her to be able to sing songs like Toxic, If U Seek Amy, 3 etc. More so than Britney's.

Britney is autotuned to death. Anyone could sing her songs (as much as I love her).

Even if Cheryl did say that I wouldn't blame her infact it would make me like her more :lol:

I didn't say Britney's voice wasn't distinctive, I said her voice is strong whatsoever so basically everyone can sing her songs (not like Leona's songs for example), but yeah of course it would sound different.
