Sorry folks, but UK send songs that even people in UK won't buy. When was the last UK Eurovision song a number 1?

 

IF you look at the songs who won in the last years, they started with a big buzz in their own country.

Why you expect that the european are so idiot to vote and buy something that even you don't like? :rolleyes:

 

Second: people across Europe are very aware that UK has a lot of good artists and songs. So they are feeling cheated with what UK sends :lol: .

 

Would you believe that the last time any Eurovision winning song was a UK #1 was back in 1982.

Coincidentally is was the only other German winner Nicole with Ein Bisschen Frieden.

 

Let's hope Lena has a big hit in the UK - she deserves it.

An inside information from the BBC claims that the national broadcaster is eager to get even with Germany after the last position achieved this year in Oslo, as well after the defeat in the World Cup 2010. The broadcaster is going to make an impressive presentation in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. If the source is correct, it means the broadcaster already began its plans for the German Eurovision edition and it seems that some names are considered or even negotiated with the broadcaster.

The UK winning the Eurovision in Germany next year would go some way to healing the world cup disaster, yes :kink:

 

I fully expect us to send an amazing song which tops the 2011 year end chart now, or at least the weekly chart!

Even if UK win next year i still believe some people will still moan 'we won but we didn't get that much votes as we deserve i.e. all the 12's of all countries but i doubt this is still enough for me. EUROPE HATES US' :lol:

I think we should try to get Eliza Doolittle to represent us! Her mum is Frances Ruffelle who was robbed with Lonely Symphony! Eliza could do a fantastic unique song and make amends for the UK and for her mum!

Eliza isn't *That* different from lena though is she, really? and lena is back next year (which is just stupid)... I believe we will have someone who can sing, dance, who is a woman that looks amazing, with a great song... if we do not, then i demand that the BBC hand it over to ITV, as they have f***ed the UK over for too long.

I believe that Karen Harding who was the first to get a seat in the girls category and then ended up being swapped with Melanie at the end in the X Factor tonight is the same Karen that took part in the UK 2010 Eurovision national final which was won by Josh Dubovie!
