I voted for "Teenage Life" on the night.

Quite surprisingly, I didn't watch our national final in 2007 :o (I did watch the clip of the results on YouTube a few times after, though)

UK final expected to be on Friday March 12th, as Alexander Rybak has said he will be performing on it in his tour diary. Don't know if this has already been reported here but just spotted it on Digital Spy's forums.
Oh no, I didn't know that. That's pretty cool news, though such a long time away :snif:
I know...must make us one of the last to choose this year. :(
Not quite, it would be the day before the Melodifestivalen final...

Just over a month away :( But so glad we know the date

Strange how it's on a Friday, though. Wonder if that will have much affect on the results

HANG ON!

As someone on ESCToday pointed out, it could still be on Saturday 13th, but he's pre-recording his performance the day before, as he's also meant to be in Stockholm (presumably for MF) on the Saturday

fingers crossed!

So no promo tour for the UK act this year then

Looks like the BBC are going backwards with the handling of our entry

What the BBC might think is that "Fairytale" won by a landslide without Alexander having to do a promo tour, and that by not doing a tour again, it will save the record company money.

The promo tour wasn't the BBC's idea anyway, it all came from the record company.

I'll correct myself. I have no real idea. Alexander could be pre-recording his performance, with the show on Saturday, or the show could be on Friday, because I think "Let's Dance for Sport Relief" is meant to be on when SYTYCD finishes

Oh right, I had no idea!

Sugababes confirmed for the show too. :D
There's been rumours going about that they will be on the show as contestants, but I don't think that they have gone down the dumper enough yet :kink:
Sorry, I didn't mean any offence to Sugas fans (I count myself as one, now Jade has joined). But seriously, that rumour is going about.
Id be shocked if i saw them entering but it wont happen as jade wont get 2 consecutive chances at eurovision.

I joked about Sugababes representing the UK with Jade being given a second chance to represent the UK. In the early days of Eurovision, that was quite normal for artists to represent their country more than once.

...and if you're Ireland, you won twice with Johnny Logan!!!
