And the reason is...?

As I see it right now:

Semi 1

Latvia

Moldova

Slovakia

Belgium

Iceland

+Bosnia, Estonia, Serbia & Greece if they send good songs. That leaves one more country to qualify - and I'm sorry, I just don't see it being Finland. If they do, I think they will do similar in the final as they did in 2009

Seeing as i'm the only fan of the song on here not all people will 'get' it indeed :(

I meant what was the reason why their song doesn't qualify (not comparing to other countries in the semi, speculating etc) in your opinion?

I'm so hoping for Finland to at least qualify now :kink: Gonna be voting for it definitely. <3

On another note, woo @ me bringing all this talk into Romanian thread :(

I don't mind the song, but I can't really see Europe voting for it. The only thing that could help it is that, in my opinion, it's in the weaker semi. Maybe also that Iceland, Latvia + Estonia can vote for it.

Estonia will so 12-point it obviously, especially with the lack of good songs from us and Latvia (I hope they will realise that :kink: )!

That's assuming that all of the countries yet to select from this semi send qualification-worthy songs. And still there's one spot left.

Clutching at straws a little

I think Finland have a very good chance. It's cute and will be memorable from whatever position it performs at because of the style of music and the appearance of the two ladies.

I'm not so sure Latvia, Slovakia, Moldova and Belgium have cemented their places in the final. I can't see why they'd be put firmly ahead of Finland. Only Iceland is firmly in the final from this semi so far I think. It's wide open otherwise.

I actually really like the Latvian song, certainly prefer it to Finland

Suppose :P

But Greece don't have a terrible entry in their selection, Estonia sent a good song last year and they know it got a good result, so will hopefully send another good song, Bosnia-Herzegovina has been really good the past couple of years (when I've become a massive ESC fan), and they are right next to other countries, and Serbia came 10th in the semi last year with a terrible entry, so anything even average should put them through. And their 2007 & 2008 entries were really good, so I'm expecting a lot.

Yeah, I'm unsure about Belgium, and a little about Latvia, but I can't see Slovakia or Moldova missing out - even though I'm biased, as I love both their songs.

Finland is memorable - not fully in a good way.

One shouldn't base their expectations on previous years, look at Russia & Ukraine for example :kink:

You should listen to Estonian 10 potential entries and assure that they won't win ESC -_- Astronaut and Maagiline Päev are good though <3

Can't believe this :snif: The winning song may be disqualified because of a Norwegian publisher being used for the song. The rules of the Romanian selection were that a song could not enter if it was written by a foreign song writer, but the publisher has said he wasn't involved in the writing...

Really? The only other song I heard of her was a Britney type song that was disqualified in 2000...
This is good, but definitely not a winner. For a start, I don't imagine the juries lapping this up...

^ I don't imagine the public lapping it up either...

It's a brilliant pop song but has no 'winner' qualities to it whatsoever, it doesn't jump out at all for any reason other than being a competent contemporary song amidst a field of utter drivel.

That's how it's going to win! It's 20 years ahead of everything else, despite really sounding from 2008. I kind of agree it may struggle with the juries though :( But I think this has a good shot at top 5.

I don't think this song would win unfortunatelly. It is not even 20 years ahead, it is to samney with what is in charts now...

*it still might receive my traditional vote to celebrate my roots :naughty: *

Meh, i still have no fav at this Eurovision edition. No song has such an identity to remain in my head.

Love it  The virtual reality part is amazing :w00t:

As much as I love this, I think it'll come 10th to 15th, which is quite an improvement from recent years. :D

The video is great, but I don't like the weird door-creaking sound at the beginning. You can't really hear it in the live version...

Best preview video of the year, easily. Not much competition, though.

And I know we still have the official video to come from Azerbaijan, but I doubt that can top this

Wow, the video is great!! :yahoo:

Such a pity that they cannot bring the robots at the Eurovision. I hope at least Paula will come with this great catsuit .

Are they traying to break Japan?
