May 4, 201015 yr I wonder how important do the promo tours stand, do they really bring in alot of votes?
May 4, 201015 yr I wonder how important do the promo tours stand, do they really bring in alot of votes? As a kind of PR, the promo tours are not of small importance.
May 4, 201015 yr Author I wonder how important do the promo tours stand, do they really bring in alot of votes? As far as I know, Alexandra Rybak won by a land-slide without doing a promo tour
May 4, 201015 yr As far as I know, Alexandra Rybak won by a land-slide without doing a promo tour This. I never know why these artists (including Niamh - I'm not being bitchy towards one group :P) think that doing an interview here and a performance there is actually targeting the voters. Okay, it targets some, but nowhere near the amount that actually vote in the shows. It's a huge waste of money, I think. :o
May 4, 201015 yr I think it's perhaps more effective in smaller countries actually, bearing in mind Malta have as much as an influence on the voting as the UK proportion wise. But having said that, with the juries now, they're already rendered only half as effective as they might have been beforehand.
May 4, 201015 yr Author Jade did promo in Malta & Greece, they both gave us high points - but I wonder how much of that is actually down to her promo. If people perform in national finals in a foreign country, by the time Eurovision comes around, everyone that saw your performance in the national final has forgotten your song anyway, since it's been at least two months since the NF. Unless your a massive ESC fan, in the case you remember all songs :kink:
May 18, 201015 yr i love Safura - dripdrop was an instant like for me when first heard and i'm hoping it wins.. Germany on first listen was ok but her voice really irritates me now. so for me Safura for victory
May 19, 201015 yr Really like this song... but is it a winner? I Dont know. Its definitely no Fairytale anyway..
May 26, 201015 yr Author After the first dress rehearsal of semi-2, AKOE says this isn't a winner, and not a guaranteed finalist. Yeah, right
May 26, 201015 yr Another blogger on AKOE - one who usually comes out with more down to earth, realistic comments - has also slated this today: Now its Safura. The dancer helps her down the steps. She's out of tune! This is Safura's worst performance since rehearsals began. She still scurries from the platform back to the stage. Her confidence seemed to have deserted her. What a surprise! I can see where he's coming from with regards to that horrendous "scurry" that she does. She literally does this weird run from the front of the stage back onto the main part, whilst singing.
May 26, 201015 yr Author And isn't it that rehearsal, the second dress rehearsal, that the juries vote on? I now doubt that Azerbaijan will win this semi tomorrow night
May 26, 201015 yr And isn't it that rehearsal, the second dress rehearsal, that the juries vote on? I now doubt that Azerbaijan will win this semi tomorrow night Oh I think it is! Unless there's a third dress rehearsal tomorrow?
May 26, 201015 yr Oh I think it is! Unless there's a third dress rehearsal tomorrow? No, they vote on the final dress rehearsal on Friday...
May 26, 201015 yr No, they vote on the final dress rehearsal on Friday... For the final yes, but I meant for the semi final tomorrow night.
May 26, 201015 yr Juries voted in the second rehearsal that just finished. :) Ahh thanks Cal, didn't see you'd posted. :hithead:
May 26, 201015 yr OH I SEE. Well, good jury vote or not, Azerbaijan's still sailing through on televotes...
