March 24, 201015 yr I even preferred Bon Iver :P Out of 25 entries, Hot Loving is the only one I rated below 6/10 (it got 3 to be exact). Skinny Love got 6/10, everything else got 8 or above. Just a 3? :( Even the charming synths couldn't win you over! I have to say, Bon Iver scraping top twenty has to go down as one of the more shocking results for me. I thought it was a cert to DNQ!

I thought it was a cert to DNQ! The cod-reggae beat and cringe lyrics basically ruined all enjoyment of it for me, any redeeming factors were missed as a result -_- You definitely DNQ'd with your 2 weakest entries in my opinion - You're Out was nice enough but nothing more than a pleasant 8/10, it lacked the instant memorability factor of Boots' solo entries. It probably didn't deserve to DNQ but I wasn't devestated that it missed out. Hence why neither track had any sort of impact on the Rejects either :heehee: Adam Lambert's song was also a low 8/10 but it's been growing on me recently! Maybe not to the extent that I'd have retrospectively given it points, but it's at least a solid 8.5 now. Most of your entries have indeed been 'AMAZING.' though, including this month!
March 24, 201015 yr You should know by now that any and every thread on BuzzJack can descend into BJSC talk at any point -_- Back on topic...Drip Drop is growing on me quickly now. It certainly feels like the most obvious winner, but at the same time, it doesn't feel like the sort of song that every country is going to rush to give top marks to. I still think ESC 2010 could be quite a close one.
March 24, 201015 yr I understand now. Hmm, that is very tricky. Just played it to have a listen. GD is right as the production has built up on the final "drip drop-op-op" bit whereas the previous choruses are still building up so any edit would have a significant different in sound which would just sound odd. :(

They crossover the breaks in the beat too much and any copying and pasting would have her doing the same ad-libs twice, which wouldn't sound right at all.
March 24, 201015 yr I've done it. :D I managed to extend the final chorus but had to do some really intricate editing to make it work. Am I allowed to post a link to download the track here?

March 24, 201015 yr I shall upload the track and post a link in this thread tomorrow. Going to the land of Zzzzzz very soon. ^_^
March 25, 201015 yr As promised, here's my attempt as entended the final chorus of 'Drip Drop'. The edit will probably stand out as everyone will be familiar with the shorter 3 minute version. It's not perfect but it's the best I could do. Safura - Drip Drop (Extended)
March 30, 201015 yr Hello hello? According to oikosh*te, they're preparing another new version of the song, with some traditional flutey kind of thing included.
March 30, 201015 yr Really? I'm hoping the final version doesn't have the blue balling ending at least...
March 30, 201015 yr To be honest I don't see any other way they could have the ending without going over the three minute mark. It's already been cut down quite considerably. I'm not a huge fan of the ending either but I'd rather have it that way than lose another part of the song. Edited March 30, 201015 yr by Peter30
April 1, 201015 yr I wouldn't change it any further, it's the closest thing to perfection in this contest and far and away the best song. Imo ofc :P
April 6, 201015 yr We are getting a music video on April 25th :w00t: It was shot in Ukraine Excellent. So no reason for the UK to snub this when the track makes the UK top 20 when the ESC2010 album is released. :P The same applies to 'Satellite' (hopefully :D ) although that track already had a music video. I dread to think what the video to 'That Sounds Good To Me' will look like. I bet it has a cheap-o-nasty £10 budget look about it. Nice!!! -_-
April 6, 201015 yr I think that's wishful thinking Hits  This is assuming that iTunes get their act together and actually put the full ESC album on there, or the singles are available for indvidual purchase (remember Fairytale got to #3 on iTunes as part of Alexander's own digital single release, not part of the compilation album). I can see 2 or 3 ESC songs making the UK top 75 but I think Fairytale's top ten was just one of those incredibly rare occasions. I'd be surprised if Drip Drop or Satellite could go top 20 here off the back of one performance - of course if the songs were promoted like any other new release with Radio 1 a-listing and music channel rotation, they could both quite easily smash! I've noticed a handful of 'singles' available on iTunes so far - Norway, Romania, Sweden was but has now been removed...but no sign of Safura or Lena on iTunes and if they decide not to put the album up, like they have before then the most popular songs might not even be available to purchase :(
