Posted January 31, 201015 yr Finnish Maria Kirizian has reportedly won the first place in the Armenia selection, with a song called "Little Red Riding Hood" - which some could describe as a fairytale. Could a fairytale make it to Oslo, and then win again? eQh1DZumPYQ
January 31, 201015 yr Much more Finnish than Armenian, but not very good tbh :( I could imagine them missing out this time. The "wolf in designer clothing" line is clever though :)
January 31, 201015 yr Author Oh, I think they're national final is on February 14th, so maybe that'll make them send a ballad love-song type thing. But I do really like this, much better than the rubbish they sent to Moscow
January 31, 201015 yr average pop-rock fare, this would do absolutely nothing at ESC Inga & Anush's song last year was genius!
January 31, 201015 yr Author average pop-rock fare, this would do absolutely nothing at ESC Inga & Anush's song last year was genius! Myself and my Dad (he's about 56) each did a score-sheet for each Eurovision show (the one's you can get from the BBC), and between us, we got 9 out of 10 qualifiers right for Semi-1. He got 7 out of 10, I got 8 out of 10. Armenia was the one country neither of us had as a qualifier, because to be honest, I thought it was one of the three worst songs in Moscow
January 31, 201015 yr Not a quite good entry if it is one for Armenia tbh. :( I definitely hear 5ive vibes in there.

Finland and Malta surprised me by qualifying!...and then unsurprisingly finished at the bottom of the final
January 31, 201015 yr I think i predicted it to qualify too, but am not sure tbh. It was really strong material for Eurovision judging on different (from most songs) sound, ethnic melody, spectacular show, great costumes and amazing vocals.
January 31, 201015 yr Jan-Jan was utter brilliance! Best Armenian entry so far, and I doubt they'll top it for me. I do however look forward to what their NF will offer. I remember being so worried in semi final 1 last year because the two songs I voted for (Jan-Jan and Is It True?) were the two last qualifiers to be read out. I was jumping up and down in my living room from stress  . I think I correctly picked all 10 qualifiers in that semi, but my semi final 2 prediction was a bit off - Croatia and Albania went through when I thought Hungary and Slovenia would, iirc.
January 31, 201015 yr Author I think "Jan Jan" was either a love or hate song. My whole family hated it, but you guys love it. I can understand why Azerbaijan didn't want to show the voting number :kink: Yeah, I remember how Iceland was the last to be read out. It was my mum's favourite in Moscow (along with Portugal), and she was all like "I'm not watching the final if Iceland don't get through"
January 31, 201015 yr all I cared about really was seeing Malena qualify (as it was blatently obvious that Fairytale would)...I didn't expect her to finish 4th in the semi! shame all of her semi supports went awol a few days later  :(
February 2, 201015 yr I was so happy Jan Jan beat Mamo to the top 10. The latter was a complete joke tbh :P pBd8DK5x1ys Russia's way of begging Europe not to give them another win :P
February 2, 201015 yr Author I quite liked "Mamo" to begin with - but if they were gonna put her face on all the screens, I'd have preferred a more beautiful woman
