February 2, 201015 yr Author If you hadn't noticed the concept was to watch how her face gets old :kink: Yeah, that certainly wasn't a pretty sight either. Put me off the song altogether - I can no longer listen to it without thinking of the old version of Anastasia
February 4, 201015 yr Well if they're after the crowd that voted for Fairytale with little red riding hood I don't think they're going to get them. It sounds ok, it's probably something that would sound better on a big stage....
February 5, 201015 yr LRRH might be their best shot ... I don't hate Never, and in fairness I've only played them all for about 30 seconds from a random point halfway through to get a general idea of them - but generally I'm not overwhelmed by any of them.
February 9, 201015 yr Another Story - Ays Dzmer - 8/10 I really like this song. But then again i like rock music. The vocals are abit dull but at the same time i think the dullness suits the song, which sorta makes it the main reason i like it so much! :) Eva Rivas - Apricot Stone - 9/10 This song started off really rubbish. But it got to the chorus and my god I liked it. After the chorus it just flows and keeps up its 9/10 rating from me. There is one thing I liked about the beggining though, the traditional Armenian instrument, which pipes in later through the song. (What is that instrument?) Turns out I really like this song :) Nick Egibyan - Countdown - 4/10 It sounds just like all the new urban stuff you hear from British and American artists, although it has a sort of Armenian twist to it. Just abit to typical for my liking. Not saying he isn't good, I just rather a song that sounds unique. In a strange way he reminds me of Sirusho's Hima album... Mihran and Emmy - Hey (Let Me Hear You Say) - 8/10 Was really hyped to hear this song out of all the rest. Got a catchy beat and the lyrics aren't too bad. Again, it sorta sounds abit western, but for some reason it still sounds really good compared to Countdown. Mihran's voice works perfectly with the beat in song, and especially with Emmy's voice. I'd like to see this do well or even get to Eurovision :) David Ashotyan - Infected Dreams - 6/10 I liked the beginning, with just his voice and the piano. But then the drums and guitar came in. The lyrics aren't amazing but they're not dire either. It suddenly got better. It's not my faveourite so far but i still quite like it. I could see it on the stage at Oslo, but I can't see it doing very well on the song alone. Perhaps on the bloc. Maria Kizirian - Little Red Riding Hood - 7/10 I've said from the beginning of this thread that I quite like this song, and my opinion still hasn't changed. Although hearing Mihran and Emmy or Eva Rivas, It's not my faveourite. But nonetheless I'd still like to see this song on the big stage in Oslo. Razmik Amyan - My Love - 9/10 I hope the Armenians forgive me for this, but it sounds really Turkish! In my opinion, that's good! This could be a song I listen to over and over again, and if it got to Oslo, I can see myself voting for it. I like his voice and yet again, that same Armenian instrument! I actually love this song. But I'm so far, I can't decide between this and Eva Rivas. Ani Arzumanyan - The Mermaid Song - 3/10 I don't like her voice, to me it just sounds like she's trying to show off her powerful voice. It just doesn't work for me! But I do like the random backing singers. In my opinion, they make the song. But even so, i's my least faveourite so far, and it will have to take a really awful song to beat that song to the bottom of my list. The man sounds like he is 92 years old! She would have got a 1/10 if it weren't for the backing singers. Meline Belgaryan - We Must Believe 9/10 In contrast to Ani Arzumanyan I really like Meline's voice. The song is really relaxing, and reminds me of Will Young's Let It Go album. Which is good. I can imagine myself listening to this on one of my many lazy days. I actually love this song. I now declare this my joint faveourite with Eva Rivas and Razmik Amyan. My Leaderboard: If I have to decide between the 3 - 1. Eva Rivas 2. Meline Belgaryan 3. Razmik Amyan 4. Mihran and Emmy 5. Another Story 6. Maria Kizirian 7. David Ashotyan 8. Nick Egibyan 9. Ani Azurmanyan
February 14, 201015 yr Author Armenia are selecting tonight :) However, I don't think a webcast will be available :(
February 14, 201015 yr Author A good song. And I know "Jan Jan" is much loved here, but I hated it, so I shall say that this is a massive improvement
February 15, 201015 yr I have just heard it for the first time and I love it. So if its a grower then I really look forward to hear it more times :)
February 15, 201015 yr Likin' it! I love the voice especially. Not as epic as Jan Jan or Qele Qele though but it might be a grower?
February 16, 201015 yr None of the songs were great in this NF I thought. Jan-Jan will be hard to beat in terms of quality in my opinion. This one was the best available and may well grow on me with more listens. The chorus is quite strong.
February 24, 201015 yr I don't mind this, the chorus is good, very catchy - the guitar breakdown at the end doesn't particularly fit at all but there we go
