May 30, 201015 yr Author Definitely, that's exactly why I voted for Germany anyway, nothing to do with the fact that it's my favourite song of the year or anything. He really is an utter fool. He is. As for what TiP said about the song being a Lily Allen album track, maybe that's so, but the point is, it's contemporary. It's an international pop song. Something that could be played on the radio without the DJ interrupting it halfway through in a fit of laughter... Must admit I didn't vote for it, but I'm happy with it as a winner, much more than I was with Norway last year.
May 30, 201015 yr As for Pete Waterman claiming this morning on Radio 5Live that Germany only won because of political/financial reasons - bailing out the Euro currency, and being one of the few countries to afford to host the next contest (yeah right of course that is why people all over voted for the German entry and not because of the song ) - he is heading for a surefire Hate nomination from me next month. Pete Waterman should be locked in a secure box and sent out to sea -_- He's like a eurovision rodent, go away!
May 30, 201015 yr I think this is an email for Universal, info@umusic.com. Its only mentioned in regards to questionnaires/texts and parental control, but its the closet thing I saw.
May 30, 201015 yr The torrent tracker from where i'm downloading the show atm ( :kink: ) is just flooded with complete morons, like Pete, saying that Lena was bad, even insulting her (I know right! ) just because they didn't like her. Of course when Russia won - nobody said a single f***ing word about our song being one of the worst winners ever (However there's a long going hate on Dima Bilan in our country despite all that atm). Nobody is ever satisfied with our/anybody's entry. It usually is followed by saying 'Enough! I'm never going to watch Eurovision again this voiceless little bitch won. I mean who is this little c**t?' or 'Only 19, what did she achieve? I am sure she will die of overdose in 25' (all being the existing comment!) We are twats. The whole Europe sees it. Thank God. Poor Lena  I don't get the hate. I bet it's just moronic jealous people who want have such success as her.
May 30, 201015 yr Author Yes, pure jealousy, not personal I don't think, but that their country or favourite didn't win. Anyway, as everyone always forgets, it's a SONG contest  Russia are not twats by the way, but you chose a song that was so bad it made it really obvious when your diaspora bought it into the final :kink: I think this is an email for Universal, info@umusic.com. Its only mentioned in regards to questionnaires/texts and parental control, but its the closet thing I saw. Thanks!
May 30, 201015 yr Updated my blog with a new ESC post including the 798th time I've posted some video/performance of Satellite onto it :drama:  http://poplovedance.blogspot.com/2010/05/a...t-gone-for.html
May 30, 201015 yr Time for the UK to pull out of the ESC. It has zero to do with music, anyhow. There hasn't been a truly Global smash from it since Gina G in 1996, & even that was no-where near as big as 'Waterloo' in 1974. Every Year, (when people say we should pull out), you get people saying how it gets big BBC Ratings, & so on. Not anymore it doesn't - the UK Ratings are down 2 Million on 2009. So, even the 'It gets big ratings!', excuse won't wash anymore! In the past the BBC could use the excuse that the ESC may be garbage, but it is popular garbage. The BBC is fast running out of the option to use that excuse. THE UK ESC TV RATINGS - 2009 & 2010:, 5.8m (25.5%) watched Eurovision in the UK last night. Lowest rating ever. It only peaked at 7.8m (43%). 2009 - 7.8m (Peak of 9.8m) = A loss of 2 Million viewers, Year on Year. Edited May 30, 201015 yr by zeus555

The only reason we should pull out of Eurovision is because of pig ignorant, arrogant, incorrect opinions by people like yourself; Terry Wogan & Pete Waterman. The song that won ESC 2010 has already been a big hit all over Europe. The same applied to last year's winner. The bottom line is that the Eurovision Song Contest has never been in such vital, rude health. The problem lies with the attitude of the British for sending has-beens and never will be's performing dated sounding songs to the contest when most of Europe sends there biggest contemporary acts. In short we would not send a pub Football team to represent England at the World Cup in South Africa; yet (with the exception of last year) that is precisely what the UK has done with the Eurovision Song Contest in recent years. And then we have the arrogance to moan when we deservedly finish in the bottom five.
May 30, 201015 yr He is. Not entirely true, Scott Mills had a good giggle at her pronunciations after stopping it halfway through when he played it on Radio 1 last month :kink: It's already far better than everything combined on Kate Nash's latest album anyway. And if the UK had sent Lily Allen to ESC, with any song more or less, I can guarantee that we wouldn't be anywhere near the bottom five. I'm just fed up with us sending dated rubbish year in year out. I stick by what I said earlier in the week - the last contemporary (at the time at least) song that we sent to ESC was Precious' Say It Again in 1999. I'd also argue that all of the entries that preceded it in the 90's were contemporary at the time of sending. So why when we hit 2000, bam, we started reversing back in time with our entries instead of moving forward like everyone else?
May 30, 201015 yr Author Well yes, that's very true. I think it's because we haven't won it for a long time we don't see it as a contemporary or modern contest. Then again, that doesn't explain Germany, or frankly Norway. The only reason we should pull out of Eurovision is because of pig ignorant, arrogant, incorrect opinions by people like yourself; Terry Wogan & Pete Waterman. May 30, 201015 yr dont know what the germany song have more than others...... :puke2: eurovision should change the name for East-EuroVision Edited May 30, 201015 yr by Odaisul
May 30, 201015 yr Author dont know what the germany song have more than others...... :puke2: eurovision should change the name for East-EuroVision You've just contradicted your own point in your second sentence...
May 30, 201015 yr The torrent tracker from where i'm downloading the show atm ( :kink: ) Any idea what commentary that has? If anyone knows where I can see the voting, with Graham Norton commentary, please send me a link ;) I'd prefer not to use iPlayer
May 30, 201015 yr You've just contradicted your own point in your second sentence... explain me where? for me germany is the beginning of east europe...
May 30, 201015 yr Any idea what commentary that has? If anyone knows where I can see the voting, with Graham Norton commentary, please send me a link ;) I'd prefer not to use iPlayer Well, it's a russian tracker, so it was in russian. I absolutely resent the commentary our presenters give so i will try to find a DVDRip or something without commentaries at all, it's so much better than to constantly hear how amazing Peter Nalitch (literally, after every single song) and how unexperienced and amateurish Lena are. :manson: Plus, they can't even distinguish Hebrew from Norwegian.
May 30, 201015 yr Author explain me where? for me germany is the beginning of east europe... Are you from the 80s or something? If anything, it's the beginning of Central Europe. Yes, soviet countries used to have links with East Germany, but that was in the days of perestroika. It has no meaning within modern Eurovision, or frankly modern society. Anyway, I just emailed UMusic (thanks C.R!): Hi there Just wondering if you can tell me when this song, which I believe is on your label, will be released on iTunes in the UK? It is already available across Europe and even in our neighbours Ireland. As you may be aware this song just won the Eurovision song contest, and there is a huge demand for it to be released, and it's currently only available as an album only track on the Eurovision compilation from EMI/CMC. It's a guaranteed hit song, but you really need to get it out in the next 24 hours to not lose the momentum. I have started a Facebook campaign to get the song released, and the members are growing by the minute. Please let us know how we can get hold of the song we all voted for, and we all want to own! Thank you, Tom K It will be interesting to see who replies to me and when...

What are you talking about? what the 80s,soviet, and perestroika have to do with this?? dont you know geography? read carefully what people wrote, dont give quickly answers to defend your point of view, be specific on it.

All of the bordering countries to the east and to the south of Germany are Central Europe. And even more countries to the east that don't border Germany (for example: Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia) are still Central Europe. Therefore Germany is not the beginning of Eastern Europe. May 30, 201015 yr Apologies if this has been stated earlier in the thread or elsewhere but Google predicted the winner. http://www.google.com/landing/eurovision/index.html
