May 2, 201015 yr Lena's debut album is out in 5 days :o http://www.esctoday.com/news/read/15627 cannot wait :w00t:
May 2, 201015 yr They keep doing that in every country! Daniel Diges' album is out v. soon too (not that anybody but me is interested anyway :kink: ) :o Bergendahl, Feminnem, Harel Skaat (though not sure about that one tbh) and i'm sure there're at least a couple more!
May 2, 201015 yr Lena's debut album is out in 5 days :o http://www.esctoday.com/news/read/15627 cannot wait :w00t: I'm sure I posted about it in your personal chart last week, with the release date  But I too cannot wait, and I am very surprised they've had time to make it a full album - 13 tracks :w00t: Some very strange song titles though :o
May 2, 201015 yr LMFAO I Like To Bang My Head against the wall Sorry i couldn't help it, it's a REALLY trendy 'joke' here, probably the most annoying thing ever to have happened to the world since Malta 2006. :( They can form sentences though :magic: My same Caterpillar in the rain, Love me, Touch a new day, Bee. You can't stop me, Mr. Curiosity, I just want to kiss...
May 2, 201015 yr Lena's album will be huge - I'm in Germany right now visiting a friend and if I've heard Sattelite once, I've heard it twenty times!! I think it's great how Germany (or at least their radio stations...) are getting behind the entry and giving it some genuine support!
May 3, 201015 yr Author After the party, I am totally in love with this song now  And more in love with Niamh than ever. I met her, I couldn't beliamh it  :kink:

May 3, 201015 yr Author Great  Glad you had a good time! Satellite is beyond fantastic and knocking on the door to my top 100 songs of all time now :o :cheer: I really did, thanks  Yes I know, and some of my Eurofriends were shocked that it's already had Radio 1 play! She didn't perform, but they played all the entries last night, and Germany got a huge reception, everyone was singing along. You don't happen to know where I can put a bet on it being our 12 points do you? :kink:
May 3, 201015 yr I'm pretty sure UK will give Ireland their 12 points this year. However, I'll be shocked if the UK give nothing to Germany this year. Didn't we give them 7 points last year for that Lou Bega wannabe act?
May 3, 201015 yr We did. And I realised recently that we've given them points in 8 of the last 10 years (despite the fact that they flopped hard in nearly every one of them), so I can't imagine us not voting for their best/most relevant entry in years.
May 3, 201015 yr Author Ireland may well get our 12, you do have a point, and it totally deserves it (in fact it will be my new #1 this week). But this is much more modern, and in fact is a totally British style. It will get at least the 8.

But this is much more modern, and in fact is a totally British style. It will get at least the 8. If only British record companies would realise the potential market for this type of music. Why Jungle Drum/I Will Love You Monday etc...were never promoted over here I don't know. Both sound like the sort of songs that could become huge if put on adverts, like Feist's 1234  all they need is some exposure. In a perfect world, Satellite would win ESC and crossover massively, smashing to #1 in the UK and making record companies sit up and realise that they need to take note of the German charts. Of course the likelihood is that Lena will come 9th, the song will be 'album only' on iTunes making it unable to purchase and Radio 1 will continue supporting landfill indie and urban trash :drama:
May 3, 201015 yr I can see this getting either 8, 10 or 12 from Ireland. Just like the British, we love this kind of music. It's so upbeat and happy. It'll probably top the televote, but the juries may give their higher points to the more 'mature' songs from Norway and Denmark.
May 3, 201015 yr You just have to open your own record label Rich. You'll be more popular than <insert the name of the current most famous and massive label>. How you always guess everything about the chart positions (I suppose it's why you don't participate in any of predicta games in UK chart forum, it's too boring to win every week :kink: ). Your taste and hunch aree meant to be used for this. So you should drop the idea of going to MF next year/ESC any year and start collecting money for that. And then you won't even need to go to ESC, ESC will go to you :kink:

May 3, 201015 yr If GD opens his own record label, I'm so going to be one of his acts. I've got a back catelogue of music I've produced from over the years (and still continue making music sometimes). Our first release would be 'Breathe (Just Dance)' after getting the sample cleared.
