Does iTunes have less impact in Ireland? 'Cause I thought she was quite a bit higher than #39 on the iTunes chart :(
To be honest i dont really know exactly what impact i tunes has here at all, finding out irish chart information parat from positions and chart runs seems impossible.
i can't see Niamh getting Top 10 tbh (irish chart that is)
I think the song is a littöe bit generic, a littöe bit of what i would expect to hear in a Disney movie, but from the lot of songs o heard by now, this would definitiv make Top 10! Not bad, Ireland!
Id be so happy if it makes top 10, i like the osng though and have done so since i first heard it, overall most people seem to think ireland will qualify for the final and possibly make the top 10 on the final night.
Im looking forward to see what tweaks they make to the song before it goes to eurovision, in your eyes back in 93 was tweaked excellantly which further added to the song so im hoping this will happen again.
I'm very, very quickly coming to the conclusion that Niamh has this in the bag with a late draw. The only thing that can stop her is Denmark.

With their dated Starship throwback that would have fit nicely in the 2000 contest? It's the sort of song that would have come firmly mid-table last year at best, so maybe it does stand a chance this year!

I still think it's Norway's to lose (again).

The dated Starship throwback isn't quite as dated as you think in my opinion! :funky: I reckon the juries will love it, along with an MOR loving audience starved of anything to vote for besides ballads...

I cant see Niamh flopping, i think she will cruise into the final and top 10 lowest on the night, maybe i am being too optimistic but the song will definitly get jury votes and the older audience votes, as someone said earlier its the my time of 2009.
Niamh is the 2010 answer to Jade Ewen :smoke:
Yes i agree with that and i think alot of people are thinking the same way, i hope she can get as good a result as Jade or even better.
Its for you has dropped out of the offical irish charts this week, im sure the phyisiacl release if there is one in a few weeks time will boost its chart position.

It's out on May 14th :)

Whilst this is a really good song, I can't see it going higher than top 15 in the final myself. There are so many ballads this year, and I think Croatia, Azerbaijan and Norway till take points from Ireland.

Norway I can see (even though I personally think Niamh has the better song and voice, but the home crowd can't be ignored), but Azerbaijan is appealing to a completely different audience. I don't think they'll be in much direct competition for votes.

A lot of the ballads this year are different from each other, just like the uptempo songs are different from each other. So we could very well see a lot of ballads near the top of the table. :o We had three very different ballads in the top 10 last year, and a lot of uptempo songs were near the bottom too.

Norway having the home crowd really shouldn't make a difference if the juries are gonna do what they did last year: and that's vote in the dress rehearsals. I supported this last year because crowd reaction can influence votes big time, so the home crowd could only influence the televotes.

It could go either way for Ireland. I think they'll qualify, but after that it's hard to predict. But I do think Ireland and Norway will be taking points off each other.
