Lol  Neev, So diffrent :P

Irish has this rule in grammer where BH's or MH's are pronounced with a V sound. There might be a few exceptions though

I am wondering if Justin Lee Collins is going to be an Irish "wildcard". The reason I say this is because every year the Irish have 6 songs to choose from and this year there are only 5. The other reason is that posted on Boyzone and Ronan's site today is a message saying that Ronan and Mikey have songs being entered into Eurovision and be sure to vote for your favourite on the 5th of March on the Late Late Show. So either their official site has posted wrong information or there is "something" going on.

Niamh will be performing her song at the EuroBash event in Dublin on February 20th, since RTE have relaxed rules concerning when the songs can be played to the public. Not too long to wait :)

I really hope Mikey or Niamh don't win just cause they're known in Ireland, I hope if they it's cause they're songs are really good....

isn't Mikey also one of the favourites to win Dancing On Ice? not to mention the new Boyzone single/album out in a few weeks!

busy boy...

Well I know my mum keeps voting for him & Hayley every Sunday

Boyzone should enter as a whole, one year. Ronan & Mikey are obviously both interested in ESC

And my main concern isn't Mikey or Niamh winning just because they're known in Ireland, but my concern is that Niamh could win just because she's won ESC before. As Malta proved in 2009, a singer with past good results isn't guaranteed to get another good result - could also use Sweden 2008 as an example there

Yes i agree that i hope the best song is voted to represent ireland and that the likes of mikey and niamh dont get voted in just because of who they are. If niamh's song is good id be all for her going in again plus she also knows eurovision is a very different story than what it was when she won in 1993.

Running order:

1. Does Heaven Need Much More? - Leanne Moore

(Written by Tommy Moran & John Waters)

2. River Of Silence - Lee Bradshaw

(Music: Ralph Siegel, Lyrics: John O'Flynn & Jose Santana)

3. Baby, Nothing's Wrong - Michael Graham

(Written by Michael Graham, Scott Newman & Yann O'Brien)

4. Fashion Queen - Monika Ivkic

(Written by Marc Paelinck & Mathias Strasser)

5. It's For You - Niamh Kavanagh

(Music: Niall Mooney, Marten Eriksson, Lina Eriksson & Jonas Gladnikoff)

Wow I get the feeling RTE is desparate for Niamh to win
^ yes they always save the best til last
Im looking forward to seeing them perform live in full on the Late Late Show, if the song is good Niamh can definitly deliver but as we said before lets hope the best song goes through and that people dont vote for the name.

Good to know :)

Anyway you can hear here the Justin Lee Collins/Ronan track that wasn't selected. It's good, and it's not a joke song at all, but it is VERY VERY Ronan...

Mehhh not the best of Ronan penned songs imo, so I'm glad it's been given the boot. Surprised it's not some sort of joke entry though it must be said... As as side note, I love how Five can't quite master the spelling of the word 'exclusive'. :(
Oh dear, only just noticed that
I thought ronan may have come up with something better than that, im glad it got the boot as i had feared they would put that through regradless based on name association alone.

:(

Ireland better send something amazing, because this is a lot better than most songs which have been selected so far this year
